We have a basset, great pyranese mix who had outgrown her bowl that was kept on a mat on the floor, so I searched for a lifted one that would also work with her current slow feeder since it was necessary to keep it. I wasn’t sure that it would fit, and although it doesn’t fit into the hole, it is able to sit right on top without sliding around and falling off. That is a huge plus and saved us from having to buy another slow feeder bowl to fit the hole. The bowls that come with this are very deep so we don’t have to fill her water bowl up as often as before, so that’s another great feature. I also really like that this comes with three options for height so it’s more versatile but we ended up needing the tallest option anyways. Hopefully she doesn’t get too much taller or I may have to add some more lift to it. She loves the ease of access now which makes me happy too. I will say that it is a no brainer to put it together but is kind of unsteady. I read some other reviews and placed it up against the wall so it’s perfectly fine, but I’m not sure it wouldn’t get tipped over by a stronger dog on the tallest setting if it weren’t against the wall. The middle height setting is also unsteady but since it’s closer to the ground I don’t think it would ever tip over. I didn’t try the shortest. An added benefit is that my dog doesn’t seem to make such a mess when eating and definitely doesn’t splash water as much with this being at a better height for her size, and the size of the bowls. ... show more

I purchased this 7 years ago and it stays outside in the hot, cold, rain, ice, windy, whatever the weather and it has been very durable. It was so easy to assemble. I bought it for my German Shepherd and she knows the sound of dinner time when her kibble hits the bowl. I've always heard its good for dogs' digestion to not have to bend over so far to eat so thats why I got this and we've never had a problem with her digestion. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was really happy to buy this since my German Shepherd mix, Red, was always craning her head down to eat or drink. As soon as I got it, I washed the bowls and set it up, and it looks like it'll make things a lot easier for her! This was a little less than $30, and I don't think it's too bad. The bowls were decent, if not a little flimsy (I felt if I weren't careful, I could easily bend it out of shape), and assembly took about 10 seconds - you only have to pop the pieces into the sides to match your dog's height. One thing I'm not too crazy about is it's sturdiness, or lack thereof. As its assembly is simple to a fault, it means it's a little wobbly - I put two fingers on it and gently moved it and it swayed side to side. The good thing is it didn't seem to move too much while Red was eating, so perhaps if your dog is a little too excited by food, this may not be right for you. I have an aging Golden Retriever that's having a hard time reaching down for her food. So I needed to find something to elevate her dish. After reading reviews and seeing what the design looked like, I decided on this Pet Zone Feeder. I couldn't be happier to have found something that works so well so far. It is a simple snap together assembly that makes it easy to shift from low, medium to high. Little things like rubber feet to establish where the bottoms of the sides go are a nice simple touch. For such a simple 3 piece design, it's pretty sturdy. I would just recommend not filling the water bowl up all the way so you won't get any spillage. It is susceptible to some wiggling if accidentally knocked into. My doggy has been a much happier eater since we bought this, so I highly recommend it . I really applaud Pet Zone for creating something like this that works great, is affordable and I believe "Made in the USA". ... show more

For everything that's good about the assembly of this elevated feeder, there are far more negative things to say about its overall structure, height, sturdiness, and ease of cleaning. First, our GSD mix is only 6 months old and she already shakes and bumps this thing (which stands against a sturdy counter wall) when she licks her bowl clean. I'm afraid to think what will happen when she's fully grown. If we didn't have a silicon mat underneath it, it would 100% be moving around all over the floor, against the counter wall while she's eating so you'll need a mat to 'stick' it in place. Even then, it WILL shake and is flimsy, especially at its tallest setting - which isn't at par with the height I expected it to reach for a full-grown large breed dog. It is also difficult to clean the stains of hard water or food etc. off the flat surface where the bowls are suspended. Paper towels won't cut it. You'll need to straight up wash it with soap and water and even then, the scrubbing may not remove all stains. Finally, the stainless steel bowls that come with this are extremely poor quality. They are thin, light weight, and low grade -- so much so that we do not feel comfortable putting them in the dishwasher because even though we have only been hand-washing them for 2 months now, their "stainlessness" has come into question with some darkish bruises appearing on the outside which I noticed while washing them. Overall, this is a very sub-standard product which I would not recommend to others and would not purchase again. ... show more

This is a great stand. I love how it is adjustable and it feels sturdy. I can't really comment on the bowls as I have just started using it. The highest setting is perfect for my larger dogs, while the medium will be great for my pups that are a bit smaller. I just ordered another one for them.
