The legs were quite stable after I found the ridges on the feeder behind which the legs should be inserted. Without using these ridges the feeder was not stable and the screw holes in the legs did not align with those in the feeder. With the ridges found and used it seems fine. Our recently retired greyhound does jar the feeder a bit as he's cleaning up his bowl after eating, and it is able to withstand his pushing it. We won't be serving him much more than 2 cups of food at a time, so the 2 qt capacity of the bowls helps keep his food contained as he eats. He is a bit of a messy drinker and the tray does a decent job containing the evidence. We added a doormat under the feeder as well to help keep additional dripping off the floor. So far so good with this feeder. It is stable enough for what we are putting it through. ... show more

This feeder has an edge around all of the eating surface area. Also, the two holes for the bowls have an edge around them. The bowls sit on this edge when placed in the holes. I didn't think about the importance of these features until I had the feeder in my home. All the drinking, slurping, and dripping my dog does from the water bowl is totally contained on the surface of the feeder. I agree with others, the feeder doesn't "feel" sturdy. But...my dog is 84 pounds. He eats and drinks robustly and so far, the feeder has not been knocked over or even moved much on my linoleum floor. Also, my cat puts his front paws up on feeder to reach the water bow. The feeder has never been knocked or pulled over by him. I've had the feeder for about 3 months. I would recommend it to others. ... show more

Looks nice, bowls are a nice size and super easy to assemble (legs on, 4 screws). it is a little wobbly so could be a concern but we have it against a wall so should not fall down. Not bad for the price! I noticed recent reviews commented on missing the screws. The screws were in a small plastic bag taped to the plastic wrapping. I almost threw them away and thought the screws were not included. ... show more

This stand is not complicated to put together. Keep an eye out, the screws will be easy to lose! They're in a tiny bag You will need a screwdriver. A word of caution for those with Arf-ritis..... Die you pick up what I just did there? You will end up using more of your fingers than your whole hand to screw the legs on. I had no problem but my hands were a tiny bit achy. I only had to..... Paws once...... :) I'm proud of that one I didn't try to use a power drill, the angle is awkward. The top part of the stand, where the bowls are, is fine. Once you install the legs, even with the screws intact, it still feels loose and wobbly. I so not like this. It feels as if one wrong move or step and I'll break one of the legs The bowls are fine, in fact, they're huge! If the stand fails, at least you have the bowls. And the stand's top can be reused if that doesn't break but the legs do When our dog eats and drinks from this elevated stand, it shakes Not much, and it shouldn't be an issue. But if your dog is crazy, runs into stuff or is a clunky pup, you may want to reconsider a better quality stand. With our doggy, I feel my family or myself my end up breaking a leg. I do have alternative modes to rewuse the stans in case a leg breaks I'm trying not to dog on this stand completely... See what I did there? I'm going to keep it. Our house isn't a wild and crazy place. Our dog is big at 6 months and he has endless energy, but he's not crazy around his food and water. Bought this for my grand dog that just moved in. He is 4 months old and is already a big boy. I found him constantly trying to eat out of my dogs bowls which is in a food stand similar. I like this one better. The area around the bowl has a deeper edge to help with water spills and splashes on the wall. He no longer has to chase his bowl across the floor when he eats cuz he gets so excited. It's more comfortable for him to eat and great for his digestion too. The price was really good. I looked in a pet store and they are about $20 or more than what I paid. Cleaning is easy. The bowls are metal which i love. When I run the dishwasher I throw them in. When needed I put the plastic part the shower and spray it down and let it air dry. I think it's supposed to be adjustable but he is so big that we started at the highest level. It was put together (had to screw legs on) in probably 5 min. And it's sturdy. My 12 lb dog often puts her 2 paws up on it to drink water and it doesn't move or tip over. ... show more
