This NavePoint rack is very well made with all pieces fitting appropriately and fairly easy to install. The items were very well packed in the shipping box in order to arrive undamaged. The outside of my box was ripped due to the mishandling by the carrier but the contents were still intact thanks to NavePoints logistic packing. Assembly is very easy and took less than 30 minutes which included unboxing, laying the items in the right assembly order and using the provided allen key to screw the bolts into the appropriate slots and using a screwdriver for the other screws for the rack rails. This rack comes without wall mounting screws so factor that into your setup but probably due to the different walls this could be mounted to. This particular model doesn't come with the mounting rail to the wall but has 4 mounting holes 16 inches on center to be easily mounted to standard spaced studs. If you don't have studs spaced this way you can purchase a 3/4 plywood board that can be screwed to the studs first and then mount this cabinet to the plywood accordingly. A nice touch is that the side panels can be locked or not (there is a rubber plug that can be removed for mounting the provided locks). One downside is that there are three different keys for each lock, 2 for the sides and one for the front which is redundant and can be a hassle. Also this model comes with only a single fan, but there is a removable panel for a second fan if that is required and would need to be wired to the provided power cable. I purchased this due to the weight rating as it is rated for 110 pounds but will provide an update once everything is setup if it holds. So far very pleased with this product and the setup, great job Navepoint!

This NavePoint rack is a solid choice for smaller server rooms or home labs. The glass door is a nice touch for visibility, and the cooling fan helps keep things running smoothly. Assembly was a bit of a puzzle, but once it was up, it felt sturdy. The removable side panels make it easy to access equipment. Overall, happy with the purchase!

Overall, this is a solid cabinet for the price, especially if you’re putting together a home lab or managing a modest amount of gear. It’s well-ventilated, easy to mount, and has enough depth/support for most switches, patch panels, and rack-mounted UPSs. Be aware that the frame does sag a bit (close to a quarter inch from back to front), and this is especially noticeable when the side panels are removed. To be clear: this isn’t due to sloppy assembly or loose hardware. All mounting screws are fully torqued, and the rack is anchored securely. The sag is present even when the rack is empty, which suggests it’s just inherent flex in the frame when it’s not fully enclosed. Once the side panels are reattached, everything squares up a bit better—but you’ll probably need to lift slightly from underneath when reinserting them to get the alignment right. Bottom line: for a consumer-grade rack, it’s a good buy.

Went together okay. Seems sturdy enough. Was too small (depth wise) for a Cisco 3650, but we managed to get an old Cisco 3560 to fit. The biggest issue was that the door wasn't plumb and the top of the door hits the top of the cabinet. We put some washers between the frame and top on that corner to bring it up enough for the door to not hit it, but it makes the cabinet look goofy. After doing that, we realized we should have tried to bend the hinge post a little and see if that helped, but we didn't really want to take it all back apart again. Anyway, we will most likely spend extra next time and just get a competitors product.

Does it's job well. Fairly easy to assemble and provides adequate security for the cost. Ventilation is very good. Recommended. Not tremendously well-built, but again, very good for a budget minded rack.

I find the construction to be of very good quality. All of the pieces fit together perfectly. It was not a quick assembly - I'd say just under a couple hours from unboxing to completion. The only concern I have is with the rails that hold the equipment as they don't seem to be as heavy-duty as I would expect. There are plenty of devices that only attach to one set (front or back) and I'm concerned that the torque may be too great and will cause some bending. I haven't tried mounting anything yet so it may be just fine. All-in-all this seems like a great box for the price.
