I do not use these tubes as they were intended. I use them to hold my colored pencils upright in divided boxes. They are very sturdy and held their shape even when cut to the size I needed. That tells me they certainly would perform well as a home for solitary bees or wasps who do not construct their own homes. ... show more

    • Perfect for the bee box.
I was going to make a bee box by drilling out dozens of holes in pieces of scrap wood that I have. I saw these on Amazon and read the other reviews and figured this was a much easier option. I built a frame out of some scrap Trex and just filled it with these. Perfect!
