  • Review by an actual human (me) (I think)
I want to quickly preface by saying that I bought this stove when it had 2 reviews, so I kind of took a leap of faith on it. I also want to point out that I am a real human writing this review. All that being said, this review doesn't have to be very long at all to cover the pros and cons of this stove, but it probably will be because I can't shut up about how much I like this thing. My girlfriend is sick of hearing about it lol. Leading with my conclusion : This stove is incredible quality, especially when you factor in it's price point. I paid $130 on sale in June 24 (just to track price for others). Why is the build quality so much better than other stoves in the price point? Because this stove does not fold away. It is always a stove. Personally I WAY prefer this because the sturdiness and build quality is VERY SATISFYING. It wasn't important for me to be able to fold up my stove, I don't care about that. Go check the weight on one of the folding stoves, they are very light. Now check this stove, almost 20lbs. But that 20lbs of metal is literally what conducts the heat into your hot tent or shed or whatever. So that material mass is A BIG BENEFIT. The glass that come with the stove is THICK and feels of good quality. The foot design is the best I've seen on any of these stoves. And it causes the heat source to begin at a lower point, so you get a lower frost ring in your hot tent. Another feature of it NOT being a folding stove is the ash tray. Which works beautifully and double serves as the "false floor" to build your fire on. The little foldout table wings are sturdy, simple, and their mechanism is well thought out. The Rivets holding the stove together are strong. The CONS: The biggest con is that, technically, I don't think this stove is complete how it comes. Here is what I mean. 1) it only comes with 4 chimney pipes. You will need another set to make it tall enough to not F your tent up. $20 for a set of 4. If you're responsible at ALL you will also need a spark arrestor/tip combo, about $18. Finally, you "should" have a chimney damper, which is also about $16. The pipe size is universal 2.36". So to really maximize this stove you need to spend another ~$60. But here's my point: at $200 this stove is still better than anything else on the market. I'm predicting this thing will double in price over the next year. ... show more

  • Great camp stove for a great price.
Nature hike makes a great cam stove. At first when I bought this I was a bit suspicious because it was so cheap. When it was delivered it was very well packaged and had nothing broken. I thought the glass was missing but it was wrapped in foam in the ash draw. I have used it multiple times and it has worked great! The chimney pipe is a bit low to be used in a hot tent. If you want to use it in a hot tent I would recommend buying a few sections of chimney pipe to lengthen the chimney so sparks don’t hit the tent roof. The metal is high quality also. I have poured water into it to put out the fire and the metal did not warp. Overall this is a great product for the price. ... show more

  • Awesome woodstove!! This thing is built like a tank, thick glass, nonfoldable
The media could not be loaded. Setup is pretty self explanatory even with Chinese instructions. We made homemade chicken noodle soup on the first initial burn on a chilly NC night. Will add that to install in a hot tent about 4-5 more sections of pipe will be needed to get it away from the tent as flames do trickle out of the end from time to time which a pack of 5 are 25$ here on amazon. Very pleased so far, will definitely update. Price is amazing for what you get with this stove, and I couldn’t be happier! ... show more

  • Extremely impressed by the quality and cleverness of design.
I’ve had a lot of stoves. This is the best design and the best quality of all. Great size and the stove pipe parts actually fit each other straight out of the box. The cats really liked the two free cat beds included as shipping padding. The price was also amazing.

  • Quality control issue
Mine arrived missing a back panel nut, 2 chimney nuts and a side panel rivet. The door gaps are shared only to show it's not very air tight but that's prob to be expected. Materials feel good if only the qc was just as good.

  • Great but just falls short of being perfect
This is a beautiful stove that is solidly constructed. Unfortunately, the first one I received had a front handle that was slightly shorter on one side, making it uneven. It was a small thing but once I saw it, I couldn't un see it. One star docked for quality control missing that. Naturehike could easily add $30 more dollars to this and include the necessary spark arrester and damper. I guess that would take up extra room that their compact packaging wouldn't accommodate. It's fine, you can order those part separate easily enough. One more thing, there are open vents on the rear that you cannot close. Why? That only makes it harder to have slower burn. It's a small stove stove so don't expect this to have long burns and the ability to close off that vent would have helped. ... show more

  • Solid lil thing
The media could not be loaded. Really diggin it so far. Just doing the initial burn and it does stink for a bit but then smells fine. Don’t use it for the first time in a tent. Reminds me of a small locomotive somehow.
