Buying live plants from Amazon is like playing a game of Blind Man's Bluff. You have to do it with an act of Faith and Hope, but with a realistic assumption you're gonna' get screwed --- overpriced, badly packed, scrawny and too fragile to transplant, or not a real rooted plant but only a cutting stuck in some dirt in a larger size pot. But this gorgeous plant I received, Hallelujah! was magnificently packaged, delightfully healthy, vibrantly green, and securely rooted in the proper sized grow pot. UPDATE over a year later; This beautiful plant has been thriving and growing like a desire to rise from the bottom of the ground. Just like people and plants are designed. She’s absolutely my most favorite plant I’ve ever owned and cared for. I am floored at the beauty, care, packaging and delivery of this plant! This was my first time ordering a live plant and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’ve been wanting a Monstera for years but they are hit or miss at local places and definitely never this healthy! The reviews are spot on with this company! Unfortunately, upon receiving the plant I immediately noticed rust fungus on every leaf. I attempted to treat the fungus but it was already a bad case and the spores spread too much already to fight it back. The plant was visibly struggling within a week with very droopy leaves. I still had not watered the plant at this time BTW bc I was trying keep a dry environment while fighting the fungus. I covered the worst of the leaves with shopping bags to prevent further spread and cut them off. The upper leaves with less rust fungus spots, I placed packaging tape over the spots and cut just the affected parts of the leafs off. Finally, I repotted in case the soil held the rust fungus spores. This is when I realized the roots were very, very rotted. There were multiple plants within the pot and most had rot all the way into the growth points and couldn't be saved. One plant out of the 4-5 in the pot had a little bit of healthy root (one 1" root) left after removing all the rotted root. I reached out to the seller on fb messenger to find a resolution with no answer. When I reach out, I reached out just about the fungus. If you're not familiar with rust fungus, it is airborne and spreads very, very easily. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is about 2 weeks after I ordered the plant. Been using humidifier and gradually increased the light. Came hydrated, just now watering for the first time. Do not overwater! Leaves will droop when it’s time to avoid root rot. Will not hurt the plant. I got lucky with no bugs or disease. Would def buy from this company again. I was very nervous about purchasing a houseplant online for the first time. It arrived two days earlier than expected and was well-packaged. The pot was cracked and beaten up, but the plant was perfect. It had a new leaf growing! Overall, the plant looked healthy. A few blemishes, but that is to be expected. I have had the plant for about a week now, and last night, I noticed a considerable amount of millipedes crawling about. I have heard of people having lizards and such arrive with their plants, so I was expecting something to catch a ride with my plant, but this was a bit overwhelming. Nothing that I can't handle, but I also want others to be prepared. The first picture was taken right after unboxing; the second was taken last night. This was a small portion of the creepy crawlies; they were also outside the pot and crawling out of the drainage holes. ... show more

Beautiful plant, but it arrive seemingly over watered. New “baby” leaves that hadn’t even opened yet had dry brown patches, as well as other more mature leaves. It developed what appeared to be root rot. I attempted treating it. It still appears to be sick, and I’ve been researching care instructions and can’t seem to get it healthy. Well, considering this plant was shipped via FedEx to the far reaches of Washington state, I'm impressed. The plant itself is in excellent condition. The pot itself was mangled (not due to FedEx by the way), but the plant is in overall good health. It needed a nice drink of water on arrival, but now it's found a home in our hallway window!
