  • Great beginner book for homemade products!
Arrived quickly and although I purchased used, it was like new. Don't hesitate to buy if you are just starting out.

  • Beautiful and full of amazing recipes and ideas
This is a wonderful book. It is a thorough, thoughtful and well organized. I am so impressed with the glossary, index and layout of the book. The recipes are great and totally useful. I am not a huge essential oil user and a lot of the recipes use them but she gives lots of ideas on making your own infused oils (Still very different than an essential oil but I still think that you can figure out how to make something without the EO...just not all the time). I really appreciate the care and generosity that was taken with this book. You will love it. I have SO many books and this one is a total keeper. ... show more

  • There are way better books out there, this is too back to the roots naturopath for my taste.
Even though there are some recipes in this book, which are great they all seem to be on the naturopath old school herbal side. If you are into tinctures/herbs etc. this is the book for you! I have other books, which are way more informative and more practical for my personal more modern way of making lotions and cosmetics. It might be just my personal preference, but this is a really old school with a lot of ingredients you do not have normally on hand or ever will be willing to purchase (though I have tons of ingredients for cosmetics, salves, lotions etc. on hand). When you want to read a good book about cosmetics:" Make it Up" by Marie Rayma is great and more modern (her BLOG: "Humblebeeandme.com") ... show more

  • Great book, lots of info
I bought this book from a local feed store and when I looked inside, knew I had to have it. I love the pictures, detailed explanations and of course, the recipes! A great book that I'm referencing all the time.
