  • Better Rest Ahead
Author Elizabeth Gardner knows a thing or two about babies and getting organized. Her books are not new to the baby market and are a wealth of information. The advice offered in this book is seated in common sense and good judgment. With it, new parents can avoid learning things the hard way, or worse, never learning essential baby hacks at all. One thing I really liked: For families with multiple youngsters, Gardner offers guidelines that will help parents enlist appropriate help, (e.g., most three-year-olds can throw away their own trash.) Her home organization and personal relations tips are priceless and reach into many aspects of daily living to support parents and generate sleep time. This is an excellent book that can make life much easier with more rest. Recommended by a reader who has baby experience. ... show more

  • This is great for first time parents however
This is the perfect gift for first time parents because it covers a lot of trivial things parents don't consider. However I've always said everyone's experience is different and everyone is going to do their own thing which is great. This book is great especially for a new parent who is stressed , tired ,and overall just overwhelmed a simple trip to the grocery store can be daunting. Thankfully online shopping exists and it does take some of the burden off your day to day. Of course being cooped up in the house with a baby is also stressful and depressing. My whole point is this book opens up options for parents they would never think to consider. Parenting is hard don't make it harder for yourself ... show more

  • This book is a must have!
I am living far from family and close friends, so I knew I wouldn't have much help in the daily routines of having a baby. I needed to find some practical ways to integrate the baby into our busy schedule, and still get the rest I so needed as a new mom. I bought this book last year when I was searching the internet looking for a "get more sleep" type book. It was a good choice! The book was well organized and the "crib sheet" to-do list feature made it easy to set ourselves up so that we'd get more sleep when baby arrived. The fact that this is a "mom written" book is a big plus. It's a "reality" baby book with plenty of straight talk about how tough it really is to care for a newborn. But what makes this book a real "must have" is that it provides real solutions! I'm so glad I had this book when I was pregnant! Since there are plenty of tips and chapters devoted to what to do with siblings when you're trying to get more sleep, I'm looking forward to using it again when I have my next child ... show more

  • An educational book to help parents with baby
"Crib Sheets...," by Elizabeth Gardner, is a book that offers solutions for parents about maximizing sleep with baby, things that they do on their own, siblings and self-reliant, reducing time spent on bills and appointments, keeping trips to a minimum, etc. All designed to improve or bring quality to baby situations and things related to it. The book is very detailed and time-consuming and one has to have the ability of reading and comprehending English well to get the best out this book. This is an educational book and not one to read for pleasure. The information is meant to help parents with baby. ... show more

  • Wish I'd found this during the newborn days!
My baby has always been a tricky sleeper, and although it's easier now than it was in the newborn days, we still have the occasional hiccup. That's why I went looking for tips. And while it's true that all babies are different and every parent will need to find out what works best for them, this book would have helped me a lot in the trial and error process. It's definitely a good read for new parents or expecting parents! ... show more

  • A must read for new parents
While a new-born baby is always welcome in every family, with it comes a lot of new challenges which can often be tiresome for the parents. The author has effectively suggested probable solutions which can make life easier and more enjoyable. She endorses how one may balance her household chores while the baby is asleep and awake. In real life parents face a lot of challenges which can create frictions in the family but the author has demonstrated how one can harmonize her routine to cherish the love of a newborn. I would highly recommend the book for every new parent. ... show more

  • Handy Resource for New and Expecting Parents
Having a newborn baby brings about a variety of things. This book is an ideal resource for first-time parents or those who feel like they could do well with some new and improved techniques. It's a great quick-read that teaches families how to adjust to a newborn and maximize productivity, sleep, and personal health. The author's own experience as a mother with a newborn in the midst of writing makes for a great "reality" checkup as she is straightforward with her points. ... show more

  • Good info overall
This is best when used by a first time parent. After that, you'll learn a lot of the points made yourself. There are a lot of good ideas in here, specifically relating to time management and scheduling. A lot of the information is simple common sense; none of it is groundbreaking, but could still be a big help since it is all laid out here in detail. A new baby is something that changes a new parent’s life forever, so for that person this is a good guide to help them through it. ... show more
