Make sure you soak the large pieces. Totally flooded my tank with tannins (not a bad thing, but way too much). Bought 8 pieces total, all were really beautiful and all sank well after soaking. If they don’t sink, just tie a weight in a discrete spot (fishing weights work well). Should provide great and natural cover for my angels. Have not measured yet but tannins should work well to soften up water. Very pleased with purchase. ... show more

I purchased the spider wood that came with 2 pieces and i was amazed. i boiled them for 20 minutes each and put them in. this is two days after and looks amazing in my 29 gallon tank

When these had arrived I wasn't expecting the variety of sizes, there were 3 about the same size then 2 much larger ones, but I actually like the variety in my aquarium. I soaked the driftwood in hot water daily for two weeks and while the water did turn a bit brown it didn't last for more than a week. I glued my java ferns to these and it looks really nice in the tank. I plan to repurchase in the future. ... show more

I’m really disappointed with this wood. It doesn’t sink AT ALL and no matter how much soaking and boiling I did, it wouldn’t get waterlogged. It also was leaching tons of tannins. Not realizing it was going to float after tons of soaking, it tore up all of my plants in my aquarium as I was setting it up. Super disappointed and I wish I went with something else. Even for the price, don’t bother unless you’re looking for extra steps to weight these pieces down. ... show more

I'm upgrading my fish tank to a bigger one and will be trying out live plants. I just got them and the sizes are reasonable. They will be perfect in the tank after I soak them. May need to order some more!
