  • CaribSea LifeRock Shapes is made of an aragonitic base rock, instead of the typical cement used by some other artificial rock creators. Every rock contains a network of micro and macro pores that intertwine within the rock's internal structure, creating the perfect environment for natural nitrifying bacteria.
  • LifeRock is manmade. Every LifeRock from CaribSea has an artificial coating and texture that mimics natural coralline algae after being in the ocean for years.
  • Every box of Shapes LifeRock contains a mixture of arches, rings, and tunnels giving you unique looking pieces that can be used on their own or as accents to the rest of the aquascape.
  • Pieces are unique. They will look similar to the pieces picture, but every box is different. The Shapes will have 4 pieces: One cave, 2 arches, and one ring. We guarantee every box is at least 20 pounds. We recommend 1 to 2 pounds of rock per gallon of aquarium water.
  • NOTE: This rock is fragile and may break in shipping. Unless it is pulverized we can not replace the rock if broken. This rock needs to be glued together when placed in an aquarium anyway, and in many instances you might want to break the rock into smaller pieces to build a desirable structure.

Love the product! It was packaged very well. Only had one small piece break off, which was not a big deal, all the other pieces where intact. I put the white spot where the piece broke off towards the back and placed the smaller piece on the sand bed. There were 4 pieces, all were gorgeous and much larger than I anticipated which worked out great in my 110 gallon tank. The coloring was perfect as well, blended in beautifully with my existing rock. I never write a review but felt I needed to for these after reading the reviews of people receiving broken rocks. I bought the 20 lb box and received 2 arches, 1 tunnel and 1 cave. None were broken, huge pieces...I feel like I got more than I paid for. The shipping was superb!! Every rock was wrapped in both tissue and an absorbancy packaging that was wound around it at least 5 times. Plus a TON of packing paper around that. I will definitely buy again from this seller when I upgrade my tank. It's always a gamble buying this stuff online but this was definitely a win! ... show more

The reason I say to buy a smaller bundle is because you’ll have to epoxy it together to make the shapes you want anyways. The package looked fine when I received it but upon opening I noticed the two major arches were broken into multiple pieces. Frustrating to wait something broken.

The rocks came as well packed as they could. Really nice large pieces with great color and texture. Have some rock glue handy for some of the small stuff. This fit my needs and looks great under the light. You can buy it elsewhere but will have to pay shipping and wait a while longer and will still get a few broken rock too. ... show more

    • all rocks were broken
literally every piece of the rock was broken and shattered leaving no arches, or branching style rocks. I fully had the expectation that there would be some breakage but this is over the top and unacceptable.
