Description

Our raw canvas cotton beekeeping jacket is designed for everyday use, this pre-washed fabric provides a refined, rigid and tough finish, making it light in weight and providing maximum protection. Our premium YKK zippers around the veil and jacket helps prevents breakage of zippers on the jacket, along with a special velcro closure flap where the zippers meet to offer additional protection. The elasticated waist and wrists, along with thumb straps provides excellent protection and holds everything together. The fiberglass screen provides great visibility through the veil. With 1 chest pocket with a specifically designed slot for your queen marker and a velcro strap for your cell phone, along with 2 lower pockets for your hive tools with a velcro strap to hold everything together. Our beekeeping products are built to the highest safety and quality standards and have been thoroughly tested in labs and used by many commercial beekeepers throughout the country.

Very nice, heavy duty quality. I used this with some white painters pants that I got at Home Depot for about 15 bucks, and some beekeping gloves that I got on here, and that setup allowed me to remove a 50,000 hive from inside my garage walls without getting stung at all. I had a local beekeper enthusiast come and help me with the job and he brought his own head-to-toe suit which he had paid $200 for, and he was very impressed with the quality of this hood and was shocked when I told him the price. It is made of an extremely thick canvas material, unlike the thin cotton of most of the cheap ($30-$50) hoods that I saw on Amazon. For size reference, I am 6' tall 175lb, 41 inch chest, 35 sleeve, 34 waist, and the Large fit me perfectly - if not a little baggy. I normally wear a medium in a lot of coats/jackets, but I wanted to make sure the sleeves were long enough - which I guess didn't matter in the end since I wore elbow-length gloves anyways. ... show more

    • Perfect but the pockets don’t fit my phone

I need my phone in the bee yard in case of emergency. The pockets on this coat are too narrow to hold a phone sideways and too short to securely hold it vertical. Aside from that I am happy with it, especially the quality of the zippers.

I love this! So much easier to get this and the matching pants on and off. No stings and loose enough fit to slide over clothing. Wish I’d gone this route years ago. The price is incredible!

Jacket is very well designed. Cloth is thick and seems very protective. Hood has strong, durable screen that allows good vision along with protection. Little details are well done, with flaps to cover zipper ends, elastic at sleeve ends, even a cord inside to pull jacket tight at bottom so no insects can enter at waist. Fits like any other large jacket. It's heavy and very sturdy, but the sleeves are too short. You will need long gloves or the sleeves will pull up which means getting stung.
