I ordered 4 on Mass tax free weekend (the taller bar height) when they were $249. Each. Now I see they are $239 - hmmn. The first one arrived in about 5 days. The other three 2 days later. I opened the first one and it was obvious that it was a sloppily packed customer return. No instructions, hardware loose in the box. All inside boxes open. Worse, someone shoved the styrofoam packing so hard into the seat back that it looked like this. It wouldn’t come off. Ughh. It’s not pleasant sitting on a 30” stool that rocks. When the 3 others arrived, I carefully assembled one of the “new ones using the instructions provided. Although it went together roughly as hoped for, the stool would not sit evenly on my floor. There are three old stools here now and all legs are even and don’t wobble, even after 10 years. . Other gripes - the legs and footrests and chair back are not stained evenly or are different wood. You can see the color difference in the picture. Since we needed 2 replacements at a minimum of the 4, we decided to just send them all back. The instructions say that if the legs are not even, to loosen everything and try to align them. In fairness, we did not bother as we felt chairs were only of fair quality. It is noted that there are not very expensive but we are going to avoid partially assembled stools all together. Worth the money trust me. These look straight out of Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn for like a 3rd of the price. Would highly recommend. Assembly wasn't hard per say but did take a little longer than expected

I ordered this product through Amazon, they stated the packaging was damaged but the item was new and the description listed Nathan James lifetime warranty. After receiving and assembling the items I noticed one seat cushion had holes in it so I contacted Nathan James and they refuse to replace the piece or honor the warranty stated on Amazons product description.
