She an I have been very impressed with them thus far. A word of caution , if you’re not used to handling very sharp knives, take care. I bought these based on reviews but these knives are made in China despite being advertised as Japanese steel. Like that the holder fits in a drawer. Time will tell the quality of the blades.

I have not yet used the knives, but having unpacked them I was disappointed to find the steak knives to be serrated. The photos do not show the serration clearly and there is NO mention of it in the product description. I like my steak knives with a plain edge. A serrated knife is a pain to hone properly, and an even larger pain when you need to sharpen them. The seller needs an absolutely clear photo or better product description detail. You need a ceramic rod or diamond tapered rod to truly maintain a serrated knife; and the rod in this set is simply called a "knife sharpener". And it isn't. A rod is for honing (maintanence), NOT sharpening. The product's brand website has the identical information as the Amazon product listing so no help there.

These knives are very sharp when recieved. Quality apears high but i just got them. Real damascus, not laser etched. Well balanced and beautiful knives. I have had Wustoff knives for 18 years and i would put these up against them any day. The only thing about them that is not yet proven is their durability but that will be proven over time and i think they will prove to be up to the challenge. The bamboo drawer block is an awesome idea! It protects the knives in a cabinet drawer and allows your counter tops to be clear of a big ol knife block! These knives, like the Wustoff's i had, require special cleaning and maintenance. Do not toss in the dishwasher! If you follow the cleaning and maintenance instructions I see these providing decades of service.
