I ordered this to put an Industrial PC out on a controls cabinet at a job site. This site is outside in the weather, though the side of the building this is on rarely gets direct sunlight. I needed something that would be weather resistant, once installed, to keep the industrial PC running and not shorting out. This thing is perfect for my needs. I mounted the Industrial PC at the top, routed the power from the small UPS to it with ease, added all the extra 'connections' with water-resistant connections to the bottom (Network, USB, HDMI, etc.), and routed the power cable through a water-tight connection so that everything going in is secured through water-tight or water-resistant connections. Then, I powered it up and closed the door. This enclosure, with water-tight and water-resistant connections from another seller on Amazon, allows me to place this industrial PC anywhere I need to, connect power and network, and walk away. I've tested using an internal LTE connection (mounted on the backplane with the Industrial PC and the UPS (strapped down, since it doesn't have any mounts) and have a complete package unit that requires only power (to power up the UPS) and network (for connecting to the devices I'm working with) - Otherwise, it's a complete package unit. Pros: - Weather-resistant, though I've only tested it in an environment without direct sunlight - Water-tight, tested using a water hose in different angels prior to, and post, installation of the internal equipment - Spacious - I have room for my Industrial PC, a UPS, and a Cellular Connection device (it's not a Hotspot, but it works just like one, minus WiFi) Cons: - I've found no issues with this enclosure as of yet. Depending upon what you need, this is a very nice box. As far as the weather and water go, this box is just fine. If you need more security than plastic, however, this box will not fill the bill. Mine holds a range extender for our carbon fiber internet service and it has worked perfectly for that. It is well built and the waterproof rubber gasket seals easily. I needed a box to mount a 12v transformer and digital switch for low voltage landscape lighting. I didn't want to spend a ton on a box so I was happy when I found this one. The box is ok but only because it is on a North wall between my shop and block wall fence and is covered by a roof overhang. The box doesn't feel overly sturdy and the channel in the lid that the walls fit into to keep the weather out are very narrow and not very deep and takes a little work to get them to line up so that it seals at all. If it was exposed to direct hard rain, water is going to get into this box. I will keep it but probably wouldn't order another one. ... show more

Works well for my outdoor application, 2 channel amplifier, power supply and Chromecast audio dongle. This fan is the perfect size for the vented openings. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09Y33K5G4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 I used double sided stick tape to hold the fan in place over the vent. You could take it a step further and get longer screws that hold the louvered vent on to hold the fan as well. Overall very satisfied with the cabinet. ... show more

The plastic isn't rigid enough to keeps it square shape. This is important on a "weather resistant" or "water resistant" box because in order for it to keep water out, the gasket seal in the lid needs to compress against the boxes edge. Since the box doesn't keep its shape well, the edge doesn't compress the gasket doesn't create a seal. Pretty disappointed as I purchased this box to protect a power supply outside and won't be able to use it for that. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Too tiny wall thickness, poor quality, the wall is too thin, the seal is too fragile, it comes out of the groove very easily
