The bike almost deserves a 5-star review. But I would like Nakto to have better tutorials and better delivery. (Now I understand why there are not many reviews saying about basket + possible missing pieces that come later, since Amazon asks that delivery complaints should be make on "feedback". Still, I would like to be clear that some aspects of its delivery affected my perception of the product and purchase, since I had to improvise and also pay extra at a bike shop. Would I have tried another brand if I knew? Maybe). Said that... It is a good bike. I'm 5'4, 143lbs and got the young adult/ woman bike-- right size for me. I'm living in a small college town, very hilly, bus services are not very good, and I'm taking classes in different schools on campus. I ride around 4 to 8 miles with steep hills daily. I decided to buy an e-bike and almost bought the cheapest one sold here at Amazon, but I didn't want to look eccentric with a semi-scooter or a tiny bike. It would be good to have a lightweight bike without looking weird, but I didn't find this option... So Nakto seemed to be the best option. And it was. *BASKET WILL COME LATER* and separetely with a lock. -- around 10 days later. But it is cute, made of plastic. Be aware: my bike came missing a piece to connect the light and front fender. I improvised with screws for the absentee basket. However, every time I contacted Nakto, they were fast in their response, and they sent me the missing piece. *Assembly information was insufficient for me: the video with the blond lady with long nails made me believe it would be easier to assemble than it was actually. Bike comes half assembled and it was possible for me to do most of the work, but I had to check other videos on youtube, my neighbor helped me with the breaks, and in the end I still had to take it to a bike shop and pay for fixing the brakes. *Pedal assistance and battery: I ride 4 to 8 miles with pedal assistance and use the throttle when starting to ride (or after light stops), and on hills. The battery was always enough (I charge every day after using it) and could go even further with it. I bought another basket for the rear and now I can easily do groceries and carry heavy books. I also don't feel too self-conscious if I am on a hill with cars behind me now that I go at a decent speed with pedal assistance. An ebike definitely made my life a LOT easier and this one is reasonably prices. It is a cute bike and everyone asks me if it was a big splurge. I love it. ... show more

    • A Practical Electric Bike That Doesn't Break the Bank

[Note: This review is written by the customer's husband, the actual user of the product] I've wanted an electric bicycle for some time because my knees make it hard to ride regularly and for long distances on a traditional bicycle. The Nakto Camel F "cargo" bike seemed to fit my needs and was also far less expensive than most seemingly comparable e-bikes (Amazon had a $50 off coupon, making it even more attractive on price). Delivery and Assembly: The bike arrived undamaged and assembly was no more difficult than with most "ship to home, partial assembly required" bicycles. Which is to say that there were minor problems. The included wrench didn't fit the larger nuts, one set of screws that needed to be loosened to attach the front fender were cranked down so tightly that I needed to use a socket/ratchet instead of the included screwdriver, one of two small bolts/nuts for mounting the included basked was missing. Note the word "minor." As long as you have basic bicycle maintenance tools and hold on to loose screws/bolts/nuts from other things for a rainy day, no biggie. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. Sturdiness/solidity/functionality of the bike: No complaints. The "beach cruiser" style frame seems well-constructed, the tires aren't high-end but seem fine, the motor, brakes, battery, etc. all function properly. Performance: Here's where it's important to have reasonable expectations. The advertised range is 22-28 miles on battery, 28-35 miles on pedal assist, top speed of 18-25 miles per hour. If you think that means you are going to climb on the bike, twist the throttle, and travel 25 miles at 20 miles per hour before the battery goes dead, no, that's not how it works. Those numbers are presumably "under optimal conditions" and "at maximum efficiency." Getting the bike UP to traveling speed drains the battery more than keeping it AT speed. Riding uphill drains the battery more than riding on level ground. Are you riding into the wind? Are you an average-size Chinese woman (the market the bike is designed for), or are you perhaps taller than 5'2" and heavier than 120 pounds? To maximize range on this bike, you're going to want to use pedal assist, not throttle, and you're going to want to do so only when it makes sense. If you're riding downhill or on smooth, level ground, do the easy work of pedaling yourself. Use pedal assist for uphill grades, or when you get a little tired. Use the throttle only for things like getting through an intersection quickly. I'm not quite 6' tall and weigh 235 pounds. I also carry 10-15 pounds of stuff with me on most rides (in rear-mounted "pannier" saddle bags), putting me right at the bike's advertised weight limit. The longest ride I've taken so far has been 30 miles, over terrain with quite a few of those long, slightly uphill grades that tend to tire one out -- and I arrived home with battery to spare, and without having worn myself out. I'm planning to see if I can stretch the battery to a 50-mile ride by being willing to handle the light pedaling work when I don't need the assist. But that's just me trying to see what I can get out of the machine. The more realistic use case is for short trips like local work commutes, runs to the grocery store or gym, etc. I've done several 10-15 mile trips of that sort, with very little work on my part and with battery power remaining at the end. If you really need "full-time, full-electric" transportation from this bike with no pedaling on your part, I'd advise against counting on a range of more than 10 miles from a battery charge, if that. As for speed, my smart phone speedometer app has shown me traveling as fast as 22 miles per hour, on level ground, with a slight breeze at my back, at full throttle power. A more realistic average for daily riding in a low-traffic environment is probably 12-15 miles per hour using pedal assist. You're not going to win any races. But if you wanted a racing bike, you wouldn't have bought a "cargo" cruiser, would you? In summation: The Nakto Camel F is reasonably priced -- downright CHEAP by e-bike standards -- well-made, well-designed for practical local uses, and fun to ride. I'd buy it again. ... show more

Got this bike a year or so ago, had everything I needed! I live in a city but dont drive so this thing got me everywhere for a season. Once it got cold, something broke in the battery. No bike shop ive called had the ability ir knowledge to repair it. So it had been sitting idly collecting dust while I save enough to replace it. Really sad its so difficult to get help fixing. Had I known repair shops tend to nit have knowledge fixing ebikes- i would have gone with light, non electric bike- because now i have a broken ebike that is too heavy to conveniently move or ride casually. Nice bike, but beware electrical issues that come up might be very difficult to find assistance to fix. ... show more

This bike is like my new baby. I love it, I love the color and it’s a good price with all the pros and cons. The things that have mostly bothered me haven’t been deal breakers but I wish I would’ve know beforehand. The bike is HEAVY (I know that’s in the description but I didn’t expect it to be as heavy). I live in a second floor and we only have stairs, it’s always a struggle. My breaks are also very squeaky, the noise is very loud. I put some WD40 on a couple of days ago and it seems to fix it, but these breaks were very hard to figure out initially and it started making noise very soon after. This is great as an intro e-bike for anyone who’s just trying to use it occasionally and not for a commute. ... show more

The bike is a nice ride but the battery don’t last for more than a couple of hours and the installation instructions aren’t easy to follow as I had to go to You Tube for more detailed instructions. The front wheel needs some alignment and the front brakes wore down fast. It’s a lot of fun to ride.
