I bought two of these at different times in May2023. One to see if it worked and the second two weeks later because it did. I came back from vacation in early Sept. The lights quit working in both of them but the ultrasound is still working. So far I have found no rodents in the motorhome living area or in the engine area, I put one in each. My only issue I have is getting in contact with company to see whether they warantee the lights and that is why the 4 stars instead of 5.

They work and have help me finish up with the extermination of my mouse infestation this past year. However, the lights work on 2 of the four that I purchased... bummer because I do believe the lights make a huge difference in the darkest areas of my basement where they seemed to congregate.

Haven't seen any more rats in the attic or garage. Be sure to read the instructions and make sure you turn the switch so it's NOT ON TEST which will result in a terrible sound. Dogs and cats aren't bothered by this machine at all.

On the day these were installed, we did hear a little extra activity and then it dropped over the next few days to significantly less. We still hear them coming into the attic from time to time, but they seem to leave again right away and we don't hear anything else. We have a large attic and we installed two of the units. The only electricity in the attic is the two light fixtures, so we bought adapters that turned the lights into outlets and then plugged these in. My one major complaint is that the strobe lights turn off after a power outage and we don't want to have to go back into the attic all of the time. One nice thing about this one that is different from some of the others is that the mode you want to run it in is a mechanical slide, not a push button, so it does not reset to the lowest setting every time we have a power blip, which is somewhat frequent where we live. We have a separate area of the attic where there are walls in between and the animals do seem to still be living over there, so we need to get two more of these and install them in those sections as well.

For me, the sound is minimal, I cannot hear it unless I am right on top of it. Then again, I have air purifiers running everywhere. I have 12 cats and a dog and none of them are bothered by it. I get flies and cockroaches in my home quite often. OMG, you should see how confused they are! They do not know which direction to turn. I have two of these in each direction of my apartment so it's like a ping pong game watching them scramble. Flies bounce off of the windows and walls. Splat goes the flyswatter! Easy peasy. American cockroaches go in circles on the floor so they are easy to smash. Note: I am highly allergic to American cockroaches so they must die, die, die! Additionally, I have not seen a single spider since I have plugged these in. I cannot say this is the experience that others will have, but for me, I absolutely love this Plug in Rodent Repellent (bug/insect). The odd thing is, in the foyer, I have found some dead cockroaches and flies. It says in the description you should not find dead bugs. Do not get me wrong. I would rather have them dead than in my home alive, but I found that interesting. Side note: I am buying two more very soon - one for the bathroom because of the water (bugs are attracted to) and one for the washer area (within an indoor area but outdoors) to keep pests at bay before bringing my dog indoors from going to the bathroom. If you buy this, I recommend buying at least two. If they do not work, then return them. No harm done. I can only hope you have the positive experience others have had on here, including me.

Update 2: company reached out and sent me a new one. I had it for more than a month now and it stoll works fine!! No more rats or whatever it was I could listen within the walls!!! Great costumer service!! Update: I was happy with it but it stopped working suddenly. It wouldnt turn on. I'm just glad it was within the month. So I was able to get my money back. ..... I recently had a terrifying encounter when one night I woke up to noises cause by rats trying to invade my home through the roof, leaving me desperate to find a solution that would keep them away without resorting to poison since I didn't want dead rats within my walls. That's when I discovered this electronic mouse repellent. Despite its less-than-appealing appearance when placed near the attic trap door, you cant see the device but the power cable needs to be connected in the house (check pic) It emits ultrasonic sound waves that only rodents can hear, and after two weeks of use, I haven't heard any noises within the walls or roof. Not only does it work silently, but it also doesn't bother my dog at all. I am overjoyed with the results, as this little device has brought me peace of mind and so far, ensured a rat-free home.
