    • Buy once cry once
Style: Single 12" Sub/DTS-X/Atmos
My first review, because it deserves it. This is by far the nicest home theater audio setup i've ever had or heard. The sound is phenomenal. Helicopters flying overhead, etc. It feels like you're IN THE MOVIE. General listening/youtube is also great. one of my favorite things is, the voices are perfectly clear. On lots of other setups have voices muffled, unclear etc. Not this one. Another note - I was worries about having to use a "soundbar remote" which I hate - my Samsung TV recognized it instantly and I can control it perfectly (sans advanced settings) with just my little Samsung remote. BIG WIN. It's expensive - buy once cry once. ... show more

Let me start off with just saying one word about this system wow! I have never experienced anything like this before. I've always bought bows sound bars because those were the best for me until I got this now my Bose is in the bedroom and these dragon speakers are the best I end up getting the one with the one subwoofer the one used subwoofer I got to upgrade and let me tell you the price may be a little high but it is worth it! I'll order them on Sunday and it read that I would get them on Friday which was fine but to my surprise I got them on Wednesday I was so excited! But I also help the UPS driver bring them in the boxes are huge and the subwoofer does wait 90 lb it is 3,000 watts of power! Putting it together took me a while and I was a little confused on the setup at first but once I figured out everything it was a breeze and let me tell you something the first thing I did was hook my PS5 up I did not know that I could hook my PS5 HDMI into the back of the speaker once I did that the sound blew me away I kept looking around the house except I was hearing sounds coming from everywhere the surround sound speakers are phenomenal the whole system is just the best I am truly truly happy with this ... show more

    • Hear and feel the Dragon!
Style: Single 12" Sub/DTS-X/Atmos
Review Image by David Rodriguez
I don’t usually leave reviews on Amazon but the Nakamichi Dragon 11.1.4 with a 12” subwoofer deserves it. I started my journey buying an LG S70TR soundbar for my 77” LG C6H but I did research on QD-OLED so I returned the C6H and the S70TR to Best Buy and purchased the Samsung S95F along with the Samsung HW-Q990F. I found myself missing LG so I returned the Samsung tv and soundbar and purchased the 77” LG G6 along with the LG H7 Quad Sound Suite. The Quad Sound Suite was much better than the S70TR as well as the HW-Q990F, but it just wasn’t as immersive as I was hoping for. So I started doing research on the best soundbar and found the Nakamichi Dragon. I wrestled with the idea until I said I have to know what all the hype is about when it comes to the Nakamichi Dragon. So I purchased it through Amazon and as soon as I connected it and tested it out, I was blown away by the sheer power and immersive sound. Setting it up was easy. I even calibrated it to my living room using a tape measure—to maximize sound quality. The connection is seemless and you don’t have to worry about not having WiFi connection because the Dragon doesn’t use it to connect to your sub or the surround speakers. The Nakamichi Dragon is the best home theater system available to date. There is nothing like it! I guarantee you will be blown away at the sound quality, performance and clarity. The 2 surround speakers are LOUD but also add to the immersive surround sound I was looking for. It feels like objects are moving around the room and behind my head. It’s truly what Dolby Atmos should sound like. I now have no need to go to the movies because I have it in my living room. It is very heavy but you get what you pay for. It’s worth every penny! My search for the best home theater system is now complete! Btw, once you pair it via ARC, your TV remote will control the volume as well as powering the Nakamichi system! ... show more

UPDATE: Below you will find my initial experience with the product. Unfortunately after working with Nakamichi for over 3 weeks including having a "new" soundbar sent which didn't work and finally getting my repaired original soundbar back, the overall sound has gone completely. Previous subwoofer response and low frequency effect are completely gone. Overall sound essentially matches the TV speakers at this point. This system has so much promise but overall is fundamentally broken. More aggravation than putting a component system together. Overall excellent product. Extremely easy to set up once you get past the weight of moving the subwoofer (80 lbs) and soundbar (32.5 lbs) into position. Great customization for all speakers including both distance and volume level to get the sound perfect for your seating position. The subwoofer does not disappoint and has to be heard to be believed. Glad I opted to start with a single subwoofer as i can not imagine needing more in our listening space. Compared to the 5.1 system we have downstairs which includes Aperion Versus speakers with an Onkyo amp the Dragon outperforms in every category. I did have an issue with one of the HDMI ports not functioning on the main unit and the Nakamichi Concierge was responsive through both email and phone to get the issue resolved. If your primary endpoint for the sound system is borderline movie level volume and bass then this is the system you are looking for. ... show more

    • Nakamichi Dragon 11.1.6
Style: Single 12" Sub/DTS-X/Atmos
The Nakamichi Dragon has exeed my expectations. I replace Klipsch Cinema 1200 with Nakamichi Dragon and I am very happy with the purchase. The Nakamichi Dragon sounds much better; bass is more punching, and the trebble sounds sharper than the Klipsch..The aesthetic look of the Dragon is so beautiful, elegant, and more premium than the Klipsch. I paid more than $400 for the satellite speaker stands and I think it is worth. I specially thank Andrew from Nakamichi Corp for taking time to show me how to calibrate the Dragon to improve the sound of movies. I highly recommend Nakamichi Dragon to everyone. ... show more
