This is one of those tools the home handyman like myself seldom use but when you need it but don't have one causes a big problem doing a project. Looking it over and operating it, this vice will work fine with my newly converted into a drill press by using an old electric drill motor. I found an apparatus here on Amazon to secure my electric the drill motor with a gear reduction snout on it's output so it can be secured to the apparatus. I purchased the 3" version for my Tool Shop Drill Press I got from my local Menards. Although a snug fit it did work. This vise is built like a Tank. I really like the quick release feature. The only thing I added was washers for the bolt end. No buyers remorse here... definitely worth the money.
