As a newish hunter but a long-time outdoorsman, I buy a lot of outdoor gear and am pretty critical of the gear I purchase. That being said, I'm a little torn about this Mystery Ranch pack. It checks all the boxes in terms of build quality, spacing, pocket placement, framing, and pack expansion/contraction. You can pack a ton of gear into this 30L pack. Even the straps are done right, making this a phenomenal mobile outdoorsman pack. My only concern is the external material. I now know it's designed as a sound dampener, which makes sense. However, the material is going to get thrashed in no time. But I guess that's to be expected. Who really cares how the bag looks as long as it performs well? I look forward to taking this bag up some stands later in the season.

I was confused about the sizing. Mystery Ranch explains it on their website. Men's/Unisex Sizing S/M 26 - 36 in waist | 15 - 20 in torso L/XL 35 - 40 in waist | 17 - 24 in torso In Between Sizes? If you are between sizes on the waist belt, Mystery Ranch recommend you size down. This is a top quality bag from a top quality brand.

PROS: + Small/Medium is much larger than anticipated + Quality and sturdy fabrics and stitching + Will last a very, very long time + Holds SO much more than you think that it will + Comfortable to wear + Easy to use (with a tree stand etc.) + Durable + Affordable (compared to big name brands of similar quality and style)

I would give this 5* my only issue is I did not realize this was going to be as heavy as it is empty. However, that will not stop me from using this amazing item! I LOVE this pack!!!

This thing SCREAMS quality... Can't recommend more highly!!! Unbelievably comfortable, holds EVERYTHING you could need for 1-3 days in the woods, EXTREMELY durable, and it is DEAD SILENT! The materials are top-notch and intentionally designed to make ZERO noise when opening, closing, moving around, etc. Oh, and did i mention it is fully adjustable to perfectly fit you no matter your height? Mystery Ranch really hit it out of the park with this one. This one gets the famous motto: buy once, cry once. Yes, it is expensive; however, I firmly believe this is a backpack that will LAST A LIFETIME with proper care, and I do not think any similar backpack in this price range comes close to the value and quality of this one.

This pack is legit. Completely adjustable, huge capacity, great quality materials and craftsmanship in all the details. This is my new go to pack and will be what I recommend to all my buddies when they look for a new one. I also like that you can get into the pack quietly with how the top opens up, no worries of zippers to make noise in the field. Get yourself one!
