First off I have never owned a climber stand. Up until now I have never used one. I have always used stationary stands, usually metal. I want to say that I love this stand. It is easy to use and set up. This is not the biggest thing though, IT IS SO DANG COMFY. I am a big guy wide as a truck. I am about 5-9' 280. A little cubby, but stocky. This thing has plenty of room. The seat is fanatic! Soft no noise when moving around. Nothing. My first hunt was an afternoon hunt. The wind was headed west and I was facing east. The sun was going down in my face warming me nicely. I was soaking in the surroundings. I watched a doe and her young offspring in the field to my right run in and out of the woods. The setting sun and the comfort of this tree stand made for on of my favorite hunts. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I am so happy I finally decided to purchase this. It is well worth the money. This thing feels completely safe and secure. It is really easy to seat the stand into the tree. And carrying it in and out of the woods is easy. 10 out of 10. Pros - quite - Large enough for big men - Easy to carry / hike with - Easy set up - Easy take down - Comfy - Looks cool Cons - Too comfy haha. Not really a con. Love this stand. It's easy to use and comfortable. The only downsides are the steel cables that came with them starting bending at the end a little, the carrying straps are a little uncomfortable and the harness it comes with is ver uncomfortable. Had to bye a new one of those. But the stand itself is awesome. I can sit all day and just relax. ... show more

Easy to climb with, very sturdy, more than my ladder stands! The sound silencing works but it's not quite, after all it is aluminum. Due to its strength/size it is a little heavy for Long hikes/hills/woods but I got it for the strength and size. The zip around camo is nice. Cons, as from pictures you can see how I fold in on itself, tends to clank so I tied some camo burlap in the corners no more clank. The only real con I have is this, if you buy a bigger stand because your a bigger guy why does it come with such a small harness I can't get into? I am going to write a review for the first time. I purchased this stand from amazon before last season. I had no previous climbing stand experience so I watched the safety video and a few you tube videos as well. My wife has the account so this is under her name. Pros: I am 6 ft 3 and weigh 265 lbs. this stand is comfortable, stout and sturdy in a tree. I have no issues climbing a tree 25 plus feet. I saw ample deer and was able to stand up quietly. Cons: The shrink wrap cable is strong but due to use the shrink wrap is already peeling and tore. The seat backing gets noisy against the tree. The internal material squeaks or something. The only remedy I have found for this is to stuff a jacket behind to silence it or leave it down below the seat and using the tree as a back rest. The only noise this stands makes is while sitting. no noise while standing at all, but overall I would recommend this stand and I do plan on buying 1 more. So, everyone’s got an opinion. If you are browsing reviews here, looking for a go no-go moment….then just go with your gut and buy it. Yes, I think it’s a little expensive, but you can not afford to buy cheap stuff in this sport. Yes, a climber will present you with some occasional obstacles. You’re not going to get it into every tree out there, but if you’re looking at this item right now, then you’ve probably already accepted that fact. It’s not the lightest stand on the market, but it is not the backpack full of bricks a lot suggest it is either. If you’ve got two legs, a minimum amount of patience, and an understanding that getting to a good location on public land is going to make ya sweat some regardless of how much you’re carrying, then you’re going to be just fine. This is NOT a loud stand either. Out of the box, you could climb this stand 25 yards away from a bed, and if your patient and manage your approach and time, not spook anything until the string of your bow releases. It is a very comfortable stand. Your biggest concern may well end up being that you can fall asleep while they are forging on the ground below ya. If you’re 80% there to hitting the buy button….do it. You will enjoy the stand. It’s sturdy. It’s packable, and it is comfortable. Plus, you can mod the heck out of it. Great brand. This treestand is set for 350lbs and the tubes are definitely well made. It looks like a strong product and the first time up a tree it worked flawlessly! Summit is one of my favorite treestand suppliers. The only downside that I see is they recommend replacing the seat every two years. That seems a bit short and it is not covered by the 5-year warranty on the frame. But that is a good feature! The seat is definitely comfortable. I would buy it again. ... show more

This is a top of the line climbing stand. Highly recommend getting the foot rest and summit brand bag that hangs on the front. Gun bar is also good. It's a little heavy but not bad once it's on your back.
