  • Good stand
Style Name: Climbing Treestand
Best stand I’ve purchased, good quiet stand and by far more comfortable than any of my other ladder or hang on stands. easy to pack into the timber and set up anytime. Sturdy and very safe has sharp teeth to dig in and keep you secured.

  • Best climber
Style Name: Climbing Treestand
The most comfortable climber I’ve ever had. Summit really smoked the competition with this one

  • Awesome stand!
Style Name: Climbing Treestand
I am a first time tree stand buyer and owner. And i must say, i cant imagine it getting better than this one. Its super easy to Set up, climb, and sit in. Im about 18 feet up in it right now and i couldnt feel more safe. I weight about 240 with about 20 pounds of gear. As for treestands go, i would imagine any extra room is not only hard to come by, but will make handleing and climbing that much more difficult. That being said, i have room to stand, sit and even turn around. Thats more then i could ask for. The harness gets bad reviews for good reason. Its not the easiest to get used to, but after fiddling around with it for about an hour and putting it on before i even left my house, its not all that bad and easy to get used too. The stand is perfect as it is, but the one mod i will make is to add a large carabiner or two to attach my backpack, bow and my coat to if need be. Ohhh. And cut the tags off the seat. They make crumbling sounds. I highly recommend this stand... GET IT! ... show more

  • Great value
Style Name: Climbing Treestand
I got the Goliath. I love this stand. Quiet and light. Seems heavy duty and sturdy. I’m very happy with the stand. The stand is straight forward for assembly. But the instructions are crap. Watch the YouTube video. The bungies on this new style summit concern me as they double as a seat back rest holder to a tree and they hold your stand together when transporting the stand backpack style. Seems like the bungies May wear out sooner than I would hope. The “teather” that holds the top platform to the bottom platform (to keep you from losing bottom while in tree) seems cheap. I’ll probably replace with better rope. Overall- great product. Absolutely recommend it. Aside from a cheap teather and possibly weak bungies - this thing is very heavy duty and quiet. I’m new to the stirrup design and I question the longevity of the plastic. They make cloning the tree easy. I hated dealing with the older webbing and getting my stiff boot inside. The stirrup is much faster. As another reviewer mentioned - the padding does not wrap all the way around like it used to. Now I’ll hve to get that foam pipe insulation and tape it on- to protect my gun from getting beat up. ... show more

  • Rock Solid and Quiet!
Style Name: Climbing Treestand
I did a lot of read up on different climbers before purchasing. I settled on the Summit Goliath as I wanted something to conform to bigger guys as I'm a big hunter. Set up is a breeze and vary easy to carry through the woods on long hikes in! Climbing was extremely simple and this stand makes virtually no noise what so while climing. Summit Goliath is ROCK SOLID once your in it and at desired height in the tree, didnt move, shake, sway, creek, bend, or any other while in the tree. You almost don't need to where your harness although, you would be foolish not to. Very happy with this purchase and it will be with me for every hunt! Any bow hunter who hasn't used or owned a climber I highly recommend purchasing one and you can't go wrong with Summit! Only added benefit I can think of is extending the platform out another 2 to 3 inches for more leg room when you sit. ... show more

  • Good product but loud and heavy
Style Name: Climbing Treestand
Overall if you want a "climber" and don't mind the weight of this thing, it's good. I weigh 280lbs but I'm athletic (played fb in college) and I have no issues climbing in this thing and sitting in it is comfortable. I've been up 30 feet but mostly stayed 15-18 feet up. I returned it b/c its just too damn loud to climb a tree in the morning w/o letting the entire hillside know where you are. I tested and played with my climbing style literally on dozens of tree types and its just nothing like having a ladder system. Also, the thing is heavy. Doesn't seem heavy when you see the weight in the description but when you add your gear, you're carrying 35 to 50 lbs on your back if you carry a backpack like me. Returned it but I just can't see myself every using this to hunt big deer in Texas. ... show more

  • Extremely comfortable seat, almost too comfortable as I fell asleep ...
Style Name: Climbing Treestand
After using it for a few hunts, it has performed as advertised. I'm a full figured hunter, 6' 280#, plenty of room for movement in the seat portion. Extremely comfortable seat, almost too comfortable as I fell asleep while doing an all day sit. ( safety harness ALWAYS worn) There is a point of concern, the paint is wearing off on it. Also, it's said that it's sound deadening frame. Not sure what was done to quite the metal, or than aluminum is quieter than steel. It packs and unpacks like a dream. When I hiked in to the area to hunt, that's where I noticed the difference. It's about 10# lighter than my other climbing stand. Worth the investment, wish I'd purchased years ago. ... show more

  • Love it.
Style Name: Climbing Treestand
I am 6 foot 3 and it's comfortable for sitting for hours. I worried about safety with my old climber, but with the added weight this holds I feel more at ease when up 15 feet or so. Just make sure you use your safety equipment. Twenty years ago a buddy fell out of his ladder stand because he wasn't belted to the tree with safety equipment. He is a quadriplegic now because of the fall. I will not take a chance, and have faith that this stand is safe. ... show more
