It seems to be very well built, it’s not too heavy, but if you plan to do a hang and hunt, carrying everything can be a burden. My only problem with it is the seat. The seat is a little high compared to what I would like, instead on my legs coming off the seat parallel to the platform, they go down at an angle. So for an average height person, this may be an issue. But if you’re a little bit taller, maybe 6’1+ you would be completely fine. The other problem with the seat is that without the cushion, it isn’t even a seat. There is a very large gap in the seat that would be extremely uncomfortable to sit on for anybody. So if you plan to hunt, and there is rain in the forecast, make sure to take the cushion inside so it doesn’t get wet since you can’t really take it off ... show more

I bought this as a gift for my husband but we had to send it back. He's 5'7" tall and even with his hunting boots on the seat was too high. Which was a shame because it seemed like a very sturdy stand. Of course, we didn't really get to use it so we can say for certain.
