This item was a perfect fit for my Herman Miller Mirra v1 office chair! I use this chair at my dental laboratory so it gets abused daily! It's been a fantastic chair and the original piston was 16 years old and I can only hope that this one will last as long! As far as installation goes, it was super easy, I don't know what everyone is fussing about, saying it was hard to get the old one off, after disassembling the chair I used a good pipe wrench and it twisted right off, and then I used a ball peen hammer and hit it 3 times to release it from the casters and that was that! Like I said, super easy! If I'm still around in 16 more years then I'll definitely give an update! I know my chair will still be here! Lol ... show more

I purchased this for a Mirra v1. Fits perfectly. It raises an inch or so higher than the one I had before, but I don't know if my original piston was stock or not.
