Okay, so I got this propane torch head, mostly for searing steaks, and holy moly, it's powerful! It screws right onto a standard propane tank, which is super convenient. The flame is easily adjustable, so you can get a nice, even sear on your meat or perfectly caramelize a crème brûlée. I even used it to light some stubborn charcoal in the grill. Just be careful with this thing, it's no toy, but man, it gets the job done quickly and beautifully! My steaks are going to be next level.

Lights up charcoal easily. It freaks out a little when you tilt it forward while trying to light the coals but nothing to be alarmed about. Use it carefully and it’ll get the job done. I haven’t figured out how to replace the battery when the ignition fails to light but it seems like it’ll be easy. It does feel like cheap plastic/metal so a couple dings and drops and it’ll probably break overtime but for the price it’s a no brainer. Just take care of it.

I’m seriously impressed with the Sondiko torch! I use it mainly for searing steaks after sous vide — and the results are restaurant-quality. It’s powerful, easy to control, and lights up instantly. The adjustable flame gives great precision whether I’m caramelizing sugar, finishing off a BBQ, or even lighting a campfire. The build quality feels solid, and the design is very sleek. Just keep in mind that the propane tank is not included, so you’ll need to get that separately. Overall, it’s a great multipurpose tool — whether you’re into cooking, grilling, or small welding jobs. I liked everything about this - good price, adjustable flame,... The problem was with the piezo ignition failed to work consistently. With the gas turned off, I looked and could see a good long arc of the spark, but something about the design does not have the oxygenated gas at the right point of the spark. At times, if I ignite with a very low flow of gas, it may light, but not dependably. I've just ignited it with my shop torch, but I'm ready to find something else.
