Shades are easy to hang if your window header cooperates and is the same depth across the whole window. These shades block the light fine and seem easy to raise and lower. Our shades are in a guest room and are not raised and lowered daily so their durability has not been tested, tho they do stay at the height they are set. Regarding their insulating properties, one could say perhaps a bit. One of the three shades ordered was not even packed in a box and was naturally destroyed in shipping, necessitating a return and a wait for a replacement. These shades are not inexpensive, so whether they are good value for the money will depend on how well they last and perform over time. ... show more

I love these blinds & the blackout quality is great, but the reason I only gave 3 stars is that one of them was damaged. It's not noticeable once I got them hung, but there are a couple of small dents in the header and the bottom rail was sliding out. I was able to fix that so I didn't send it back, but quality control could use some work. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I loved that there were minimal parts and assembly, clear instructions and fast installation after measuring. I ordered this product for the exact size of my window so it wouldn't fit inside like I wanted but the brackets are made for outside of the window mount as well so if you order it slightly too long installing outside the frame is an option. ... show more
