  • Little amp. Big punch!
Size: 40 Watt
I purchased this to replace a my old Fender Acoustasonic Jr. which finally gave up after 20 years of faithful service. The pictures on Amazon looked quite similar and so I didn't pay any attention to the dimensions. I was quite surprised at how small and light this one is compared to the Jr. Both are rated at 40watts yet this one is not even half the size! The sound is fantastic and loud however. I feel I've lost nothing in volume or sound quality, and yet picked up the benefit of two completely independent channels which can accept either 1/4" instrument jacks or XLR jacks. Love this upgrade. So compact and portable and just sounds great! As an added bonus I scored it as a "used/acceptable" model that had popped up on the side of my Amazon page at about 50 bucks off. Other than missing the original box and any paperwork that might have come with it, it could pass for brand new. Nice! ... show more

  • Awesome amplifier
Size: 40 Watt
I have used the one speaker version of this and found it to be great for practice. Have recently I’ve gotten the situation is difficult for me to carry the big brother this amp the acoustic sonic twin so I bought this just to see how it would work for me. I plugged it in to do a Christmas gig early in December after I got it. And the first thing someone said to me is it’s too loud turn it down. So that should tell you something it’s not just a little amp. It sounds great. You can plug your harmonica into it and your instrument are two instruments. It has two 6 inch speakers that are excellent. I highly recommend this amp. Oh yeah it’s got some negatives. I suppose I mean you can get something with lots of tiners and knobs but it does have reverb reverb reverb I recommend the amp give it a try. ... show more

  • Amazing sound (including mids) for vocals
Size: 40 Watt
I am a jazz singer and this amp is incredible. My Fishman Loudbox died on me recently and after doing a huge amount of research I picked this, because it has mids for vocals, unlike the Fishman. Actually, unlike any of the guitar/gig amps I've seen. They have it in the guitar channel only. So having it in both channels made this a must-have. The sound is absolutely beautiful and crystal clear. I use it for little restaurant gigs and it is perfectly loud enough, even with the volume only half turned up. My guitarist--one of the best jazz guitarists in the world--loved sharing it so much on our last gig that he took a picture of it so he could buy his own just to add to his arsenal of spares because it is SO CHEAP! I still can't believe the price. My Fishman is $400 new and it never sounded as good as this amp. The only other comparable amp for me in terms of sound is the AER which costs nearly $2,000! The other thing I love is that you can have two vocalists OR two guitars plugged in to the universal inputs. It's lighter than the Fishman by 6 pounds, which doesn't sound like a lot but it is. It weights about 17 pounds but I cart this to gigs in a wheeled amp bag which fits the Fishman but is a little big for the Fender. I might buy the sewing machine case on wheels I saw somewhere on Amazon. Need to measure. Meanwhile I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this amp for sound, for clarity, for portability. Reverb, mids, highs, lows. It has everything I want. ... show more

  • QC Issues, buzz, thumping off noise, good tone, loud
Size: 40 Watt
Pros: Good tone quality and range Decent Reverb Good volume Lightweight Compact Cons: Loud hiss/buzz no matter what is plugged into it. Just a noticeable buzz as soon as the amp comes on. QC Issues, my amp casing is damaged. Looks like it got hit by something. When I turned it off, no matter what, there is a fairly loud thumping noise. Doesn't matter if nothing is even plugged in. Loud buzz when it's on, loud thumping when it turns off. It's a nice amp for practicing singing into a mic and the tones are nice. Just feels like a little more care could have gone into the design. Unusable for recording or performing. Quality feels right for the price point. Objectively a mediocre amp, but for the price not bad. I think it will make a great practice tool, but not even suitable for tiny gigs because of the buzz. UPDATE: After putting many hours into it, I think it's a 4 star amp considering the price point. I originally gave it 3 stars, I raised to 4. Mics also sound nice through it. ... show more

  • Wow!
Size: 40 Watt
This sounds amazing! When my son (14) first started playing guitar we purchased the smaller Fender amp that cost less that $100. it was great for practice and starter amp when we weren’t sure if he was going to stick with it. It’s been a year and my son practices every day and loves playing so I wanted to invest a little more into his equipment. After research I went with this amp and we are very happy! It sounds incredible!!! Totally worth the price and perfect now that hes got a few gigs! ... show more
