4 starts for the quality for the price. Otherwise the material feels cheap. I wore it to my student's Ph.D graduation and I felt cheap in it because it lacks the three tresses on each arm that almost everyone else in the room had. That was probably the Ph.D. gown.

Overall, it’s a great value. I bought this gown bc I needed one fast for my masters graduation. The fabric is a little cheaper than higher-quality gowns, but overall not super noticeable. Quality slightly more noticeable under harsh lights but not outside. Additionally, the zipper quality wasn’t great (it would come apart if you tugged on it too hard), but for the short period of time I was wearing it, there were no issues. The sizing seems accurate. I’m 5’5” and ordered a 48 (the 5’3”- 5’5” option). I’m also about 135 lbs and it fit fine. I didn’t use the hood since my school provided one. ... show more
