This may appear to be the same My Arcade Pac-Man unit one can get for 30 dollars on Amazon, or elsewhere. The thing is, it isn't, not based on my past experience. I had the 30 dollar version which looks identical to this one visually, same button layout, same screen size, same color scheme. But once its powered up one of the differences becomes obvious, there's two modes. The 30 dollar one has one mode, Pac-Man. This one has two modes, Pac-Man and Speed Pac-Man. The other difference, the 30 dollar unit, if you manage to beat the high score, ones the power is reset, the game defaults to the default high score. The one I'm reviewing, it retains the highest score the player has made with the game. I am not sure if removing the batteries resets the score but I wouldn't think so . The sped up mode doesn't mean much to me, the high score saving makes it the one to have. So besides those two things, what else does one get for twice the price? The carrying case is a soft case with the standard Pac-Man art and a well made zipper with a pouch for accessories inside the case. The pouch can be used to carry the mini screw driver it comes with to remove the battery lids, the micro USB cable which is included, and maybe extra batteries. So one gets the game, a nice case for the game, a mini screw driver to remove the panels which comes in handy if one takes it on travels, and the micro USB cable. If one isn't familiar with My Arcade's Pac-Man its a total replica of the original Pac-Man at the arcade, the music, the sound effects, the graphics, etc. The buttons on the unit are for setting the brightness, the volume, one or two players, and an insert coin button. There's also a 3.5 audio jack so headphones can be used.. but I don't recommend that since Pac-Man's music and sound being driven into the head can get annoying.. I love old arcade games but the audio, not so much. Oh, there's one more extra, it includes a screen protector, the newer glass like style and its sized perfectly for the screen. Prior to this unit, I used 3rd party protectors by Puccy that are close to the same size but its nice to just get one rather then paying extra. Why 4 out of 5? Four double A batteries seems excessive. ... show more

I first bought this PAC Man game for my Grandson for Christmas he was so excited! Unfortunately we were not able to open the back panel to the battery compartment. It comes with a mini screwdriver which didn’t work. The screws are so tight it wouldn’t budge!. He was in tears on Christmas morning.
