  • Took me a minute to get it dialed in to the sound I like, but works great
Color: MultiColored
I went through a little trial and error finding the tone I like, but that's some of the fun, this thing has a wide range for the segment it's in. I frequently use a compression pedal, I find that this works A LOT better without a compressed tone going into it, I'm sure there's a really good scientific reason for that. ... show more

  • The best envelope filter for bass.
Color: MultiColored
This is one of the most versatile envelope filters you can buy. The Dry and FX controls let you maintain your low-end, and the three other controls let you dial in an extreme or mild effect. I've heard many envelopes for bass, and this one is the best. The only drawback is that if you want to use a battery, you have to remove the bottom of the pedal, but I can't imagine anyone using batteries in these things anymore. ... show more

Color: MultiColored
Unlike a lot of envelope filters I have owned, it has an option to mix the dry signal with the effect, which I love. It has excellent tracking and you can get so many classic tones. Only downside is the light is really freaking bright.

  • Best sounding filter
Color: MultiColored
MXR got this right. I've used them all, and the thing that makes this the ticket is the ability to mix effect and dry signal. The sensitivity is also critical, and allows you to dial in just the spot where your attack will trigger the effect, and let's you 'dig into' the note to 'quack'. Don't hesitate to pop for this if you want the funk. It the bomb! ... show more
