I used this on a custom-order cigar box guitar build someone commissioned me to do (a 5-string, Keith Richards-inspired build), and it did a great job for my needs. Really shiny, visually an upgrade, performance wise an upgrade, intonation is great, action is great, fits squire strat pickups, fits on a 1968 national telecaster clone. Don't mind the tape, I put it there so it wouldn't get scratched, just a personal prefrence.

Works but...... Needs to have an additional two mounting holes at the leading edge of the pickup plate. There are only three screws at the base of the bridge behind the string height blocks. Other than that, overall quality is OK.. NOTE: I don't think this will be a direct replacement for a true Fender Tele but seeing that I'm making a custom tele I designed around the purchased components, so it doesn't affect my overall goal. Best if you are building from scratch, especially for top load method. Might not line up as replacement with bridge holes or string through holes on existing guitars. Great for DIY builder.

    • I don't usually write harsh reviews, but this item is seriously junk.

First; This bridge is NOT made correctly! Yes it mounts up using the stock mounting location. No, the included black mounting screws did not fit, they were too small. I had to use the old silver mounting screws and try to cover them with black marker. kind of cheesy but that worked and these are mostly hidden anyway. Secondly; The black finish is too soft scratches badly if you look at it wrong. The saddle height adjustment screws have scratched up the finish before you even realize it during mounting and it looks really bad. The only way to save that to finish scratching up the rest of it and call it a relic job. That is not what I bought a new bridge for but maybe you are . Thirdly; even if you get past all that and are fine with it, The real problem is the bridge plate itself is made incorrectly in length , it is too short where it is bent, and will not allow the saddles to adjust far enough back to intonate properly and fretted notes are always sharp and will NEVER, EVER PLAY IN TUNE. I could give this item a lesser rating for problems one and two, particularly, but Because of no ability to even play in tune, this item is total trash! I really rate it a zero! Don't waste you time and money! As soon as I find a proper toploader bridge to replace it with, this junk goes in the trash bin! I don't usually write harsh reviews, but this item is seriously junk. ... show more

Fit ok, I do wish the saddle screws were a bit longer. The string holes are off to the side of the saddles making the saddles lean slightly to one side when the guitars strung up. It does function but it’s not aesthetically pleasing. The mounting holes are also a little off at least for the Harley Benton guitar I put it on. If you’re planning on doing a swap, you’ll probably need to plug the old pilot holes in your guitar to install this bridge. All in all it’s priced fairly low and works but I wouldn’t recommend it or buy again. ... show more

This was the only bridge plate I could find that lined up with a new tele guitar I bought on Amazon. It lined up perfectly with the holes already drilled for the old bridge holes. For $10 it was a very inexpensive upgrade. It was much heavier and thicker than the original that came with the guitar. It improved the sustain and tuning stability. No complaints, really. I drilled the mounting holes a bit wider because my stock screws were larger than the ones supplied, but I could have used it even as it came, just with the screws sticking up slightly
