Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Most customers appear to love the taste of these protein bars, highlighting the cookies and cream flavor that resembles an Oreo cookie. However, there were mixed reviews regarding digestibility, with some users finding the bars a bit heavy to digest and others recommending not eating them right before a workout due to a bloating feeling. One user found the bars to be hard and tough to bite, but overall they have been described as a good source of protein that could be used as a meal replacement.

Pros

  • 🍪 Great taste resembling Oreo cookies
  • 💪 Good source of protein
  • 🔄 Can be used as a meal replacement
  • 🥦 Contains high fiber content

Cons

  • 🧪 Contains a "bio-engineered" ingredient (possible GMO)
  • 🪵 Hard and tough to bite for some users
  • 🎈 Can cause bloating or heaviness in digestion
  • 🍬 Some users found them to be overly sticky/chewy

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for a protein bar that tastes good and can potentially replace meals, and you don't mind a potential bloating feeling or chewiness, this could be a good choice for you. However, bear in mind that it may contain GMOs. If you have issues with digestion, you may want to eat it a few hours before a workout rather than right before.

  • My go-to midday boost that actually tastes like a treat!
Flavor Name: Cookies & Cream Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)
**5.0 out of 5 stars - My go-to midday boost that actually tastes like a treat!** If you’re looking for a protein bar that doesn't taste like chalk, these Cookies & Cream bars are the absolute gold standard. I’ve tried a ton of different brands, but I keep coming back to Quest because the texture and flavor are just so much better. They are rich and satisfying, with actual cookie-like crumbles that make it feel like you're eating a dessert instead of a "health" bar. These have been a total lifesaver for my busy workdays. They are so easy to just throw in a lunch bag or a gym bag when I know I’m going to need that extra boost to get through the afternoon. With 21g of protein and only 1g of sugar, they keep me full for hours without the sugar crash I get from other snacks. I also love that they are keto-friendly and gluten-free, which makes them a really easy option for staying on track with my goals. Pro tip: if you’re at home, pop one in the microwave for about 10 seconds—it turns into a warm, gooey cookie experience that is out of this world! These are definitely a staple in my pantry now. ... show more

  • Best flavor of Quest
Flavor Name: Cookies & Cream Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)
These Quest Nutrition Cookies & Cream Protein Bars are hands down the best flavor in the Quest lineup! The cookies & cream taste actually tastes like a treat rather than a diet bar — rich, sweet, and satisfying without any weird aftertaste. They hit the mark with 21g of protein, only 1g of sugar, and a low 4g net carbs, which makes them perfect for on-the-go snacks, post-workout fuel, or just something to curb cravings without derailing your macros. The texture is great too — chewy with just the right amount of bite, not chalky or dry like some other protein bars. If you love protein bars but crave something that actually tastes delicious, this flavors stands out as the best in my opinion! ... show more

  • Not bad! Decent Taste and it'll do the job. Not bad! Decent Taste and it'll do the job.
Flavor Name: Cookies & Cream Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)
Macros: 21g of protein and 13g of Fiber. Beats most protein bars out of the market if you're just going for this. It does keep you full. Taste: They're not bad, the cookies and cream flavors aren't so strong. You can taste that it's artificial but it's just good enough. Texture: It is chewy (a bit hard if you refrigerate it), like any other protein bar and it'll take some effort to go through it. Smells decent as well. Doesn't really melt like some protein bars so that's pretty good. Overall, a solid 4/5, won't be your favorite but definitely worth a shot to see if you like it. ... show more

  • My Go-To Protein Bar – Great Taste, Awesome Value!
Flavor Name: Cookies & Cream Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)
Quest Nutrition Protein Bars are hands-down my favorite protein bars, and the 12-count boxes have become a staple in my pantry. Here’s why I’m giving them a full 5 stars: Taste & Texture: The Cookies & Cream flavor is a standout—sweet, creamy, and packed with that classic cookies-and-cream vibe without being overly sugary. The texture is chewy with just the right amount of crunch, making it feel like a treat rather than a typical protein bar. At 21g of protein, 1g of sugar, and 4g net carbs, it’s perfect for my keto-friendly diet. Nutrition: These bars deliver on their nutritional promises. The high protein keeps me full for hours, whether I’m eating one post-workout or as a quick snack between meetings. They’re gluten-free, which is great for my dietary needs, and the low sugar and carbs make them guilt-free. Value & Pricing: For some reason, the Cookies & Cream flavor is often cheaper than other Quest flavors like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough or Birthday Cake. I always snag these on sale and use Amazon’s Subscribe & Save for the best deal I’ve found anywhere. The discount makes each bar incredibly affordable for the quality and nutrition you get. Convenience: The 12-count box is perfect for stocking up, and the bars are individually wrapped, so I can toss one in my gym bag or keep a few at work. They don’t melt or get crumbly, even in warm weather. Minor Note: The bars can be a bit dense, so I recommend having water on hand, but that’s common with high-protein bars. It’s a small trade-off for the awesome flavor and nutrition. Final Thoughts: Quest Protein Bars are my top choice for taste, nutrition, and value. If you’re looking for a keto-friendly, gluten-free protein bar that doesn’t skimp on flavor, these are a must-try—especially when you grab them on sale with Subscribe & Save. Highly recommend stocking up! ... show more

  • Expensive
Flavor Name: Cookies & Cream Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)
Probably the worst thing I have to say about these is that they are expensive. The best price I've seen is on Amazon at $2 a bar. Locally, these are sold at Nutrition Center, on sale, for $2.50 each. If they tasted like crap, I'd tell them to keep them. They don't taste like crap. Since almost every other competitor does taste like crap or has a nutrition profile worse than a candy bar (usually both....not sometimes...the nutrition bar market is just....horrible), you don't have many options. I think Atkins is the only other bar that isn't total crap. And not only do they not taste as good as these, the nutrition profile isn't as good. Quest is the best of a bad lot. I really don't like the term nutrition bar, nor protein bar. Maybe fiber bar would be better. These and all other bars are a horrible nutrition choice. And whey protein and the like are terrible, low quality proteins, that many people are out and out allergic too. You want protein? Eat a steak...the more fat in it the better. The last hundred years of medical research says that's the best thing and the rest is just fads and lies. This is a candy bar. It tastes very yummy, just like a candy bar should. Unlike your average candy bar, its low in carbs. Which means diabetics like me, can eat it without dying. If you are diabetic and like candy, you should buy this. However, you still need to test with your glucose meter to make sure it doesn't spike your blood sugar. If your reading is over 140 an hour after eating this or over 120 two hours after eating it, you can't eat this. Go eat a steak and mope. Quest really needs to remarket these things and sell them in grocery stores with giant letters on the package that say....Diabetic Candy Bar. Most diabetics can probably eat these. Some can't. You've been warned. They will make a lot more money. Actually, I'm a bit miffed these are not sold in grocery stores. At least a dozen competitors ARE sold at my grocery store and every single one of them is utter crap. If you invest in putting these on the shelves, it won't be long before people figure out these are superior and you will make a lot of money. Nutrition centers and the like...waste of time and money. Most of those places won't be in business much longer because they sell worthless crap to idiots (who are figuring out not to waste money on all that). This is not crap. It's a good product I'd rather not see disappear with the crappy vitamin stores that can't compete with Walmart. I want you to make lots and lots of money and then put out more products like these. Also. I've tried half a dozen other flavors. They are all really good tasting. Quest makes a low carb series of really expensive potato chips to go with your candy bars. Probably worth looking into. ... show more

  • Protein, Fiber and Taste Protein, Fiber and Taste
Flavor Name: Cookies & Cream Size: 12 Count (Pack of 1)
The Quest Cookies and Cream protein bar is packed with 21g of protein, 13 g of fiber, only 1 g of sugar, 190 calories and a pleasant taste. The bar is a little harder than cookie dough but is still soft and chewy. It is not as sweet as cookie dough but still tastes somewhat sweet and more like a treat than a high protein, high fiber product. Quest accomplishes the good taste without all the sugar by using the sugar alcohol Erythritol. Erythritol has been shown to be safe as it is excreted from the body in an unchanged form and is less likely to upset the digestive tract as it goes through the bloodstream and is excreted in urine rather than being passed through the digestive tract where other sugar alcohols can be fermented, resulting in digestive issues. Additionally, Erythritol does not result in increases in blood sugar and insulin (important for diabetics or those trying to lose weight or with insulin resistance). The ingredients indicate that these bars contain almonds. I can't digest nuts or legumes, however I don't taste the nuts and have not had any issues with digesting these bars, which has made me happy, because almonds have a number of nutritional benefits, but I'm guessing the amount present is probably pretty small, although they rank relatively high on the ingredient list. In terms of the proteins and fiber, Quest uses a blend of milk protein isolate and whey protein isolate, which has been shown to have a good yield and blend of amino acids. The fiber is in the form of polydextrose, a common prebiotic fiber. Overall, Quest has found a formula to make a tasty nutrition bar that is both high in protein and high in fiber (a benefit that most protein bars don't include), while being very low in sugar. Nutritionally these bars seem to offer a lot of benefits as well as being a tasty treat. ... show more
