Suitable for small dogs - i got this for my 22lb dog and it works great for him. The raised design helps keep his back & neck aligned which is great because he struggles with back pain. It can hold at max 8 oz of water but its a bit full so expect some spillage. Alternatively it can hold up to 1/2 cup of kibble, but i usually only fill it to 1/4 cup kibble. My dog has a tendancy of pushing some bits over the edge since its pretty shallow, but the back wall is raised a little higher than the sides and front which he uses like a ramp to scoop the food out easily. Its easy to wash in the sink, the ceramic coating is glossy so it comes clean pretty quick. I have two larger dogs that have tipped it over a few times so its pretty solid and hasn't broken. If you’re looking for a water dish I think I’d choose another dish simply because they’re not very deep bowls, but they’re perfect for dry food & they stay pretty clean naturally. Cute and love pink color and love raised design to help with better digestion. We use for food and feed our cat in small amounts. (However, I do feel the need to mention that the 'sister' raised bump food bowl made by Trundisan that did not have the option to be bought together that we bought as well to test out the different option - was a mismatched pink color - and feel that we have to say that due to the design of THAT one with the raised bumps and the hard material - our small adult cat kept hitting her teeth against the hard material and there is a concern of damage to her teeth. Cannot be good for her teeth - It may work for small kittens' mouths ?? Interesting how most of these types of feeders are ceramic as well, but, I would recommend you go with a softer material if you are looking for a bumpy slow-eating type. Love the idea of the raised design and the idea of a design to eliminate fast eating as our other cat will eat so fast, she will vomit food that isn't even digested yet. We have a softer material bumpy one that is not raised, that did not eliminate that problem, so just going to stick with that one and use something to raise it up to eliminate the fast eating and body positioning to allow ease of throat alignment to solve the problem of vomiting right after eating - and feed her in smaller amounts. But, we are keeping this one for our other cat that has an RX food that we feed separately and will feed her in smaller amounts as she does not have as much of a vomiting problem and it is so cute.
