this bed is actually really beautiful! There were no issues with delivery, quality, or tools provided. Always helpful to use a drill. It took about an hour to assemble it and I really love it. There was one tiny scratch on the headboard but I'm kind of okay with it.

I rarely write product reviews but I am over the moon happy with this bed! I researched for many hours for a bed frame and with much trepidation choose this one. I have purchased stained wood furniture made in China before and have had issues with off gassing caused by VOC's in the stains used in China. I am ultra sensitive to these odors. The style of this bed was just what I was looking for and none of the reviews mentioned offensive smell so I said a little prayer and ordered. This bed had NO offensive odor and it is a stunner! I was pleasantly surprised by the great quality of this bed frame. Was easy to assemble by one person, clear instructions, very sturdy, and looks absolutely beautiful. I spent a long time looking for a solid wood bed frame that was simple and timeless. I read the other reviews about this product and took a chance. Definitely worth it and would buy again. This quality at this price point is a steal. I saw a comment about the color being slightly darker than the photos. Maybe a shade or two, but I didn't feel like it was a big difference. The color is a beautiful, rich walnut that is classic and will go with your other walnut furniture. One tip for assembly: line up the pieces and screws with the holes then loosely place them in before tightening everything down. I'm not especially great at this kind of assembly, so one mistake I made was fully tightening down one side attaching two of the pieces before trying to do the other. I found that fully tightening one side first subtly changes the alignment of the other side. Rookie mistake but maybe it can help someone else. Once I figured out not to do that, everything fit perfectly without any issues! ... show more

I spent hours and hours looking for the perfect bed on various websites. After reading hundreds of reviews I finally settled on this one and I'm really glad I did! As others have said the color is a bit darker, more of a cherry which actually matched the wood in my house better than the color in the pictures. The wood is real wood with a smooth and buttery finish. The instructions were very clear and all the pieces were correctly labeled, very easy to put together and not too many different pieces. The only thing we might need is some more sticky pads underneath to keep the mattress from slipping around which I'm not too worried about. The bed is beautiful and sturdy, if we have any issues later I'll update this review. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase! ... show more

I ordered this for my husband and myself -- upgrading from a full bed to a king. This bed was fairly simple to put together; I was able to put it together by myself in less than 90 minutes. I think it looks great! The wood feels sturdy. Nothing was scratched when I was removing the parts from the box. It was very well packaged. We've been sleeping on it for over a week and it's very sturdy! Doesn't seem to creak or squeak. All of the pieces and their holes lined up perfectly. The instructions were straightforward. I also ordered a king Nectar mattress from Amazon too. We've been sleeping like babies! I was originally hesitant to buy this, but read the reviews and pulled the trigger. Very easy to assemble (and I’m not very handy). The wood is nicely painted white. I’m not sure if it’s my mattress or the frame, but the frame is ever so slightly smaller than my king size mattress, so the mattress hangs over the edge of the frame by about an inch.
