Update: So disappointed! Loved this so much and when I used it in a real life situation-it was a disaster. Wouldn’t stay connected. If it was connected, took forever to print. Kept my entire system from working correctly. Finally turned it off and everything else worked great. Now I’m a couple days outside the return window and I can’t return this. Buyer beware!! Love this little printer! I use it with iOS so I watched the video and successfully paired it with my iPad on the first try. Works great, so quick! This is a reasonably priced option for those wanting a receipt printer to use with Square who don't want to be pay ridiculous prices! Thank you, this filled a big need and is amazing!!!

I bought two of these units to set up as my Barista printer for drinks and my kitchen printer for sandwiches. I am by no means a novice when it comes to printers and networking. In one of my prior jobs I used to set up computers networks and AV equipment. I have now been working on this for over 2 hours. Getting the printers onto my Wi-Fi router was more difficult than it should have been but still manageable. Getting my square register at the front counter and my Square stand at the drive-thru to recognize these printers has proven impossible. The only way that I can get them to recognize that these printers even exist is if I log them into the printer's Wi-Fi itself titled by default "Wi-fi printer". I managed to get both of my registers to print a test page to the Barista station but that is as far as it will go. There seems to be no way to connect two of these to the same device. The other issue is that I use a Square Terminal as the customer pad in the Drive-Thru and it will not work if the square stand is connected to the printer. Overall this is a very very difficult device to use it is in no way user-friendly it doesn't really deliver what it promises and it's a huge pain in the ass. Part of the fault lies with Square because their idiot system doesn't search for printers the way it should. Overall you can make these work if you can get the software downloaded to a PC or go through the steps of logging into the printer's IP address through a phone or tablet but it is a lot of work. I guess I will be sending all of these back (I also bought a hardwired usb unit for the front Counter register). Update. I figured it out and you can use two of these together and connect them to multiple registers. The issue was the default gateway in the printer setup software. It defaulted to the incorrect Gateway. You need to look up your default gateway IP address for your router and change the printer to match. Then you need to assign different static IPs to each printer. If you do that the square registers should find them and connect. I'm moving this from one star to three stars because it does actually work but holy crap is it a pain.

The machine was purchased to use with our square to print receipts at our business. My daughter had not problems in setting up the machine via internet. This machine saved us a good amount of money because it was a considerable amount less expensive than the alterative machine. Easy to use and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a printer that is adaptable to the square.

I am having a good experience so far. I bought this to use on a dedicated POS station for tradeshows, flea markets and craft fairs. If you are in a high traffic retail or commercial environment, I don’t know how well this would hold up for you and you might want to upgrade. This unit is a little bulky by my expectations but still a good size and doesn’t take up too much room when real estate is rare on a small table or something. It would be nice if it had an alternative power option, but I use it where I have electricity available so it’s not a big deal for me. It takes fairly standard sized rolls which are cheap and easy to source. The unit was easy to set up and get working out of the box without a lot of downtime messing with settings and drivers and troubleshooting issues. It prints quickly and the resolution is quite good. I guess the quality of receipt paper you use has something to do with that but I don’t use anything special or expensive. Both Bluetooth and USB functionality worked well. I love that it works across many payment platforms in case I want to switch systems down the road.
