  • Good but might be too big for some people
This is great. It might be a bit too big for some so pay attention to size especially if you intend to mount it to the top of the dash where it could obstruct some people's view. Functions well. Nice to be able to add any Android app to it. The Android Auto is somewhat buggy as in sometimes it wants to screen share my phone instead but it works as intended 90% of the time. ... show more

  • Good unit with bad documentation
I almost returned this but I figured it out. This is a good android unit with a few caveats. The good: everything works good. The bad: 1- should come with an sd card for the price or the choice to include it in the purchase. 2- I almost had to return it because the info on the camera wiring was non existent. The camera must be hooked to the REVERSING lights or the camera won't trigger with the guidelines. Since this unit records plus works as a backup camera it will always be on the recording mode unless you put the car in reverse which triggers the backup camera. I didn't find a slot to put a Sim card so if you actually wanna use it for netflix or without android auto you will need to provide hotspot through wifi. I tried internet bluetooth sharing and it doesn't work, only wifi. I'd keep a charger since doing this drains your battery. Device wise is snappy, fast and the screen is made of glass. Overall if they improve the android system and add better documentation the product would be great. If you want to buy it keep in mind what I mentioned for the sd card and camera and you will be ok. Btw, camera quality is excellent ... show more

  • One of the best CarPlay/Android Auto external use screens on Amazon One of the best CarPlay/Android Auto external use screens on Amazon
I am really bad at remembering to leave reviews but I just needed to leave one for this product as I am so satisfied with my purchase! I’ve had a product similar to this one but the only reason I ended up getting it is because the charger broke on the previous one and I could not find a replacement… but how I am so happy I made the purchase because it is such an upgrade!… for the simple fact that the system is powered by Android, it changes the CarPlay and Android Auto for external use for cars… I use YouTube a lot when I’m not playing music and with my brand of car, YouTube audio lags depending on the source of output. Well I don’t have to worry anymore since YouTube is “built-in” … and the dash cam is great and one of the main reason I have a external use screens in the first place… the instructions are helpful but overall if you know what you are doing, it is easy to use… it’s everything I need it to be. No issues so far! In my opinion, it is a must buy and honestly worth the price ... show more

  • Not worth it anymore
Update-After I owned this for a couple days I am returning it. The camera randomly turned on while driving over and over. The connection skips repeatedly. The backup camera is static more than it is anything else. I am returning this to hopefully find one that is not so glitchy and will work as expected. I hate doing this as I was loving the backup camera. But if I can’t even see it-there’s no point. I have included a video of it randomly turning the camera on while trying to select a wallpaper I love this! The clarity on the rear and front cameras is very clear even in low light. The ability to change volume on individual input makes for crystal clear sound coming through. So glad I did my research and bought this. ... show more

  • Painless way to upgrade an older infotainment system! Painless way to upgrade an older infotainment system!
This is a very useful new tech gadget and will really compliment the older cars that does not have Android Auto or CarPlay. This device is a widescreen setting allowing you a better view of your apps while it’s in use. There is even a split screen function that works very well. The processing power of this device is pretty powerful. I expected it to lag a lot since certain apps use a lot of processing and memory. I do not have Android so I cannot vouch for the Android experience. The Apple CarPlay has been exquisite and is completely wireless. I have been using CarPlay since it’s introduction in 2016. Most of the cars I’ve had was all “wired” CarPlay. It does the job but the cord isn’t as convenient vs wireless. I did have one car at the time that offered wireless CarPlay, and that was my 2019 BMW X3. Even some of my later date pricier cars such as a 2025 Mercedes GLE only had wired CarPlay. This device runs on the Android OS. You can run both the Android system and CarPlay at the same time. Even have them running concurrently via split screen. For example, I have CarPlay on google maps, and on the Android side I have my YouTube playlist going on all at the same time. The touch functionality is very adept and responsive. This also has a built-in drive cam. But it will need a qualified SD card to be able to store video. It will not store it in the built in memory of the device. I was able to use many types of google marketplace apps on this device. Such as, Netflix, YouTube, HBO, Hulu, and many more. Apps that cannot be used locally on Apple CarPlay. Provided are multiple types of mounts depending on your setup. The two-way tape that was provided for the dash mount is extremely strong. My truck has a lot of vibrations during operation but it stayed put without issues. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was blocking a small portion of my lower right-side view of the windshield. Be extremely mindful on placement. The tape on the dash mount is one time use. The device is completely plug and play. You can either wire up the sound output to the aux input of the car, via Bluetooth, or via a designated radio frequency of your choice. With everything this device can do, please do not be distracted while driving. I only use my YouTube playlist for listening and not for driver viewing. It’s more for the passengers and my daughters to enjoy something on the screen while I focus on driving. ... show more

  • Big Screen, Big Upgrade, CarPlay the Way It Should Be
I have a 2012 minivan without a modern infotainment screen. For its day, its screen was pretty cutting edge, but as time has moved on I have envied watching all of the features people can now easily access. So when add on screesn like this first became available I added one and loved it. And I loved that one so much that when a bigger one came out, I replaced it and gave my kid the old one. But now I think i have found the perfect one. This large screen makes a very real difference for navigation and using CarPlay hands-free. Which is perfect as I am getting older, so size does matter it turns out! The wireless connection works reliably (which is a huge relief and very important to me). If you love having a large easy to read display that is fully funtional with todays smart phones, you are going to love having this! This is my review of 10.25 inch CarPlay Screen for Car Dash Cam, Android Auto Screen with Apps, Dual HD C ... show more

  • Perfect upgrade without running a bunch of wire splices Perfect upgrade without running a bunch of wire splices
Upgrading a classic like the 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD can be a bit tricky because of that Bose system. But a portable unit like this MORNVOY 10.25" CarPlay Screen is a clever way to get modern tech without tearing apart your dash. 1. My First Impression: A Giant View of the Road The first thing you’ll notice is the size. At 10.25 inches, this is a wide, "letterbox" style screen. It’s a lot bigger than most standard car stereos, which is great for seeing your maps clearly. It’s basically a car-grade tablet that sits on your dash, giving you a massive display for navigation and entertainment. 2. The Magic of "Dual Bluetooth" in Your Sierra Since I have the Bose Supreme system, I wanted any display unit to be able to play through my factory stereo. How it Works: You connect your phone to the MORNVOY screen for Android Auto (or Car Play) (so you can see Google Maps), and at the same time, you connect your phone to your truck's Bluetooth (if you have an adapter) or use a Bluetooth-to-FM transmitter. The Result: I get the big map on the 10.25" screen, but the audio stays in your truck's Bose system. It’s the "best of both worlds"—modern maps with that classic Bose punch. Since Android Auto allows you to configure a menu of apps on your phone for use in multiple Android Auto vehicles, you can get the same experience anywhere. I predominately use PlexAmp for music, and iHeart Radio for talk radio. Because this is really a super table for a car, switching apps is easy and fast. 3. Built-In Dash Cam & Backup Camera This unit is like a "safety sandwich"—it watches the front and the back: Forward Camera: There is a camera built right into the back of the screen. It records everything ahead of you in high definition. It’s great for insurance peace of mind if someone ever pulls out in front of you. Rear Backup Camera: The set comes with a separate camera that you mount near your license plate. When I shift into reverse, the screen automatically switches to the rear view. In a big Crew Cab truck, having that extra pair of eyes makes backing into a parking spot or hitching a trailer a whole lot easier. 4. Updating and Adding Apps Unlike older "dumb" screens, this is a smart tablet (with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage): Installing Apps: Since it runs on an Android-based system, you can connect it to your phone's hotspot or home Wi-Fi and download apps like Netflix or YouTube directly onto the device. OTA Updates: "OTA" stands for Over-The-Air. Just like your smartphone, if the manufacturer releases an update to fix a bug or add a feature, the screen will prompt you to download it over Wi-Fi. No need to mess with cables or SD cards—just tap "update" and you’re current. 5. A Fair Assessment Pros: Plug and Play: No need to cut wires or take the dash apart in your vehicle. Split Screen: You can have your Map on one side and your Music or Dash Cam on the other. Huge Storage: 128GB is plenty of room to download movies for the grandkids or save hours of dash cam footage. There are a couple of solutions to mounting either on the dash or on the windshield provided. I already had a bracket on my windshield so I use that one. Cons: Dash Space: It’s a big screen! You’ll want to make sure it’s mounted in a spot where it doesn't block too much of your view out the windshield. Wiring: While the screen is easy to install, running the wire for the rear camera back to the tailgate of a long truck like the 2500HD takes a bit of patience to hide the cables under the trim. It took me around an hour to run the cable after testing it first. 6. My Takeaway For a GMC Sierra owner who wants the latest tech without the headache of a custom stereo install, this MORNVOY unit is an honest winner. It lets me keep my Bose sound, adds two safety cameras, and gives you a screen big enough to actually read without squinting. It’s a smart, modern upgrade for a legendary truck. And, I didn't have to run any wires to interface to the stereo system / amplifier... ... show more
