    • This is a great first ebike.

The bike (Mukkpet GL) came packaged perfectly. Not one scratch, dent, ding, whatever. Once out of the box, the next thing I noticed was that after I put the seat on (quick attachment) and the handlebars on (another quick attachment), it was completely assembled. The only thing I used the supplied tools for was to make sure all nuts/bolts were tight. The battery had about a half charge and the front tire needed about 10 lbs of pressure. Once those things were done, it was off to the races (or maybe just a quick joyride). That was four days ago. So far, no problems as I have been learning how to run through all the gears and pedal assist levels. The battery indicates it is still almost fully charged (22 miles) but I do use it almost exclusively in pedal assist mode. The bike is comfortable to ride, very stable on the road with those fat tires and very responsive. I had to look online to find out how to turn on the installed headlight and tail-lights but that was easy. I found that the brake light works well once someone following me told me that I had a brake light (cool). I zip-tied a white milk crate to the rear carrier and I was ready to go. Is this a road racer? No. Using the pedals to the max on the highest assist level, I did get the speedometer up to 28 mph, but on throttle only, I am going a max of about 20 mph (there might also have been a tailwind and downhill slope involved). However, that is pretty darn good for a retired, out of shape, 69 yr old person. Is this for mountain biking? Probably not, but it isn't being used for that. And considering that I am using it for getting around town and going to the local grocery store, it is plenty fast. Getting around town is so easy, the pedal assist with the 500 W motor provides plenty of power. Frankly, my truck hasn't been started in four days. Yep, I really like this bike. ... show more

The vendor has been very interested in making things right. They reach out frequently and are eager to help. We continue to work with them for a refund for the tire repairs we required. I'm impressed with the service and look forward to working with vendor again. The tires are not good quality. We have had to replace the tires after one week when we rode the bike on the road but over goat stickers. Spent another $200 to replace the tires. ... show more

This bike delivers exactly what it says that it will deliver. It is easy to put together and easy to fold up. It has five different assist modes, each one more powerful than the last. It is easy to ride, and my wife loves it! I would not hesitate in buying this bike again

The wife bought this bike and the speed for PAS1 was too high. It was over 12 mph. We complained and got nowhere initially but you can get support. You just have to be persistent until its escalated. The manual only shows Parameter setting up to P19 or so but the actual ebike controller goes to higher settings. From Mukkpet Support, it turns out that P21-P25 correspond to the PAS1-5 speed settings. By lowering the number in each say by 30-40 percent you can get speeds of around 6, 10, 12, 15, 18 mph. This means you can change the speeds to only go as fast as you want to fall - if you are somewhat older in age. Mukkpet should list these other codes in the manual and also adjust the speeds at the factory ... show more
