Review I have been looking for Edison style smart bulbs for my kitchen island pendant lights. I chose this product because it had a lot of favorable recent reviews. The bulbs didn’t disappoint. I got the aesthetic and functionality I was looking for. Pros: >great price for 4 bulbs (I paid $30.59 w/coupon) >packaged well >simple instructions and easy setup >bulbs can be controlled independently or as a group >wide range of warm/cool light tones and brightness settings >when dimmed via the app these bulbs have no noise or “buzz” and they do not flicker >there are no obvious visual signs that these are smart bulbs, just appears to be a plain old light bulbs >user friendly app (AiDot) with lots of functionality >can use iPhone widgets to quickly control your lights without opening the AiDot app Cons: >only works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (I have dual band Wi-Fi so it’s not an issue for me) >this Edison design is larger than “normal” size bulbs so be sure to take note of the bulb size prior to ordering if using with an enclosed light fixture These bulbs were not recognized by Apple Home. I’m not an Alexa or Google Home user so I have no feedback for that functionality. ... show more

These were as bright as the 100 watt bulbs I previously tried. I couldn't find smart Edison bulbs that were 100 watt equivalent, so I decided to try these and I'm thrilled! Even better than the previous bulbs and can control the white temperature as well as dim them!

This bulb is easy to control with the AIDot app. It has a broad range of color from smooth golden glow all the way to bright white. I am using it in an outdoor porch light that has a top shade painted gold on the underside. Turning down the tone on the bulb creates a real nice effect

    • A Taller Bulb Than Similar Bulbs with Same Specs

I needed a smart LED bulb for an exterior wall fixture since a timer would not work unless I did away with my decorative wall plate. Anyway, I wanted an Edison style bulb, 800 or so lumens, and warm white. Could not find this kind of Smart bulb as a single bulb or set of 2. But for the price, a set of 4 is fine. I have other Edison LEDs, same overall specs, in other exterior fixtures but needed a smart bulb. Got the bulbs and immediately replaced the existing bulb with this one. The bulb inserts from the top by removing 2 screws that hold on the "lid." Screwed the bulb in tight and the lid was about 1/8" from closing on the fixture all the way. I was able to insert the 2 screws but not close the lid all the way. The next day I cut a ring of foam to fit between the lid and fixture to keep the bugs out. It's under an overhang so it's not an issue of rain or snow. Anyway, good overall bulb. The AiDot app took some getting used to, especially in setting up the on/off schedule. Got it all working now and happy with the bulb. ... show more

I was skeptical when my teenager asked for these. But they are amazing. We have them in both bedrooms as the over head lights and in our lamps. The app is easy to use and we can control them from anywhere. The routine feature is exceptional. Love that it shuts off at the set time and wakes me every morning!!! If you are unsure... do it!
