  • Thin, crisp, and don’t leak
Love these! I’m using them in my moleskine journal with super thin paper and they work the best of the 10 others I’ve tried so far. My friend brought me back one from Japan and I fell in love. Super expensive on Amazon vs getting them in Japan (she laughed so much when I told her how much I paid for them ) but if it’s the only way I can get them I’ll pay for it! They have a very even ink flow, and you get a nice scratchy sensory feel when writing with them. Think the exact opposite of a Pilot Gel pen. You feel every word you write and it actually helps my handwriting not flow together and look much neater. They don’t last very long from my experience, one lasts me a couple months. And one just stopped working while half full of ink. So while not the best investment they’re definitely worth a try! I’ll be buying more for my new expensive addiction (sigh) ... show more

  • Amazing Pens!
These write so well! The only downside is that I wish it had a tad more ink.

  • Incredibly fine-tipped pen, smooth writing, watch out for smears
Bottom line: Very fine tipped pen, writes well and consistently, need to watch out for smearing (e.g. this is a very touch pen for left handers to use if their hands rub the section of the paper they just wrote on!). I haven't tested this in space, but if you're anywhere on earth (on land, not underwater), you will enjoy the fine art of penmanship with this writing instrument! Feel This pen has a solid plastic casing. It is not overly large or heavy (in fact, it is very light). It is a stiff plastic casing, and you don't have all the bells and whistles with fancy grips. You do not miss nor need them for this pen! Pros Overall, I love this pen. It is my go-to pen. * Pen tip is very fine; as a result, the pen is very accurate when writing * It writes incredibly well and is very smooth * I have not yet had an ink blot or a dry spot while writing * The ink is dark and consistent in color, look, width, etc. * No leakage during storage, no matter which direction I store the pen (upside down, right side up, sideways, etc.) * Consistently writes, no matter which direction the pen has been stored in * I haven't stored this in extreme temperature conditions for a long period of time (e.g. in the car), but for the short times I've had it in my car or outside, I have no reason to doubt this pen wouldn't perform. Cons There aren't very many cons to this pen, I would say it's the best pen I own and my favorite one to write with. * You have to give the ink a little time to dry - it's not much time, but if you don't, it will smear * It's more than your cheap, bulk pens, but with this pen, you get MORE than what you pay for! * Your friends and coworkers will always try to steal your pen, it is a magnificent writing instrument I have a comparison of different pens, a single stroke (the top, straight line) and a back-and-forth scribble. The pens from left to right: * Muji Gel Ink Ball Point Pen (far left) * Pilot G-2 07 * Sharpie Fine Point * Sharpie Ultra Fine Point * High end hotel pen * Free city pen * Westin hotel pen * Disneyland pen (far right) ... show more

  • My new favorite pen
I’m very particular when it comes to pens, but once I find the right one, I stay loyal for a long time. After a long search for a high-quality pen, I finally found exactly what I was looking for. It’s sleek, writes in a perfect black ink, feels comfortable in my hand, and the best part—it doesn’t scratch the paper. ... show more

  • Just OK
I usually love MUJI products. This one is just ok. I do appreciate the fine tip 0.38 good for fine line drawings. But the casing feels cheaply made and too light in hand. Also, consistency of the ink is problematic. Getting a solid line is challenging unless it's held at just the right angle. Would not buy again. ... show more

  • Fine point!
Wow. These are a super fine point! But since they are gel, they write nice, and aren't scratchy. They are great to write with

  • Good Fine Tip Pen
I primarily use this pen for taking notes and so far I have enjoyed using it. It is light weight and not bulky like other pens I have. It lasts a considerable amount of time considering how much I use it. The price is definitely worth it for the pack of three pens. It is easy to write with and I have gotten several compliments from friends on my notes taken with this pen. There are a couple things that could be improved. One thing is that the grip is a bit funky. It may just be me gripping it too hard but after a bit, my hand really cramps up. It also takes a second for me to be comfortable writing with it so it’s a bit awkward holding it at first. The ink does dry pretty quickly but it does still take a second. I tried to highlight over something I wrote and it did smear a bit. It doesn’t smear if you just brush your hand over it though. This product is overall a long lasting and useful tool for day to day life and note taking. ... show more

  • My favorite pens, expensive
These Mujis are my favorite disposable pens I’ve ever used. They’re not flashy, they don’t have a ton of useless stuff all over them, they’re basic, well built writing utensils. I like a fine tip with any writing utensil because I have small handwriting and I think it looks cleaner. I have these in .5 and .37 or whatever it is. Both of them are very fine and the rollerball never clogs and impedes ink flow, as is the case with many fine tip pens. They feel great in the hand. I am not a fan of built in grips on pens or pencils. I prefer a bare pen. I have more control over a pen when there is no bulky grip that ultimately does nothing to reduce fatigue. These look great, they write great, and they feel great. I’ve been using them for about a year now and most of the writing I do with them is at work (signatures) and at home/on the gun range. I use them on the range in conjunction with a Rite-In-The-Rain pad for recording data. They work excellently on those pads. I haven’t tested how the ink functions when it becomes wet, but it isn’t waterproof ink, so it probably will wash away and become illegible if it gets wet like any other pen. If you want your notes to be waterproof, use a pencil. That isn’t a priority for me. These are my favorite pens available, they’re expensive and you don’t get many of them for what you pay, but I believe they’re worth it completely. ... show more
