I have a bad case of spinal stenosis, not a favorable diagnosis for an avid power walker. Over many years I have acquired a number of expensive back braces and supports, many including stainless steel bars to brace the back from movement that might cause additional pain. Every time a new back support hits the market I wonder if it will be the magical solution to the pain in my lumbar region, but, nothing seems to work as well as this type of 'neoprene' support. I believe the answer may lie in its inherent ability to stretch in almost all directions. I find that if I keep it as tight as possible directly over the vertebra at level L4/L5, I experience mush less pain during my grueling walks. I would have used it if the belt would have be bigger. I measure 50” but it probably was a 40”. Had to return.

Looked and looked for a simple neoprene Waist/Back Support wrap. I just ordered a second one! The neoprene is thinner but good support for a sore back and garden work, spending hours on my feet. I really like the newer and thinner Velcro like closure. Less bulk. My only wish is that the outside was all black (no white Mueller on the outside). Or if you must print the brand, make Mueller smaller. Also a great price! ... show more
