These are seriously the best. When pregnant I get terrible carpal tunnel when I’m sleeping. The tingling, burning, and numbness in my hands wake me up repeatedly every night. I start wearing these around 6-8 weeks pregnant and wear them throughout pregnancy. The hard inserts keep my wrists in the perfect neutral position. I have some nerve damage along with carpal tunnel (from repetitive keyboard use). This seems to help just by keeping my wrist in a stable position. It does make writing and typing a bit tricky but I don't care. It's comfortable to wear even for very long periods of time. I do wrap a light gauze around my wrist before wearing but that is just because I wear lotions and sunscreens & want to keep the inside clean. I'm pretty sure that I could lightly rinse this but I'm going to have to check. What made me choose this one over one covered by my insurance is that it can be worn on either hand & I sometimes do need to switch. I have smaller "lady" wrists and this Small/Medium is comfy. I think though for women with larger wrists, go larger because on my tiny wrists, I barely need to tighten this at all. I only had a ruler to gauge my wrist size to show. I had one of these braces from many years ago and it has served me well. It can be used on either the left or right hand. Recently, I needed a second one for my other hand and was very pleased to find that it is still available. I noticed a tiny improvement. It comes with inserts which provide stiffness but they can be removed for more flexibility while still providing good bracing.
