750 lights later these are a great value. So I have an older tree that seems a bit wider and higher quality than what you can buy from big box stores these days unless you spend $400+. With my tree I'm not sure what happened but somehow every single light on my tree, all 750, blew out. Somehow none of the fuses in the plugs had been blown from whatever power surge caused this. So I ended up buying two 400 packs of these lights to try and replace them. After doing about 40 I was ready to give up but my kids for some reason loved this tedious job of changing out tiny light bulbs. With them so excited to do this we spent the next several days and knocked them all out. As you can see in my picture they light up well and look good. Since I was replacing all of them I cant say if they would be the exact brightness of what you may already have but we're happy with the brightness shown here. They dont get hot and havent blown out yet. As far as quality goes I had none that shorted out as I was careful to be sure I had each leg wire separated when putting them in the base. Out of the 800 I bought I only found 4 were broken or missing wires. Given the total amount Id expect a few to be bad so 4 is definitely a good amount. I see earlier reviews talk about quality and after using 750 I feel the quality is there. One thing to keep in mind is to check your cord or use manual to see what the specs on your existing lights are such as voltage. Just because it fits doesn't mean its right for you. I bought these because they matched exactly what my tree user manual said a replacement should be. If you're replacing a lot of lights that match these specifications then I think these will work great for you. Just dont get stuck replacing over 700 like me unless you have a few helpers around.

I am editing my original review as I originally thought these bulbs were bad since they were brighter and burned out in two weeks. The mistake was mine and I had ordered the incorrect voltage replacement bulbs. These bulbs will be fine as long as you double check they match your needs.

Edit: I moved the remaining original bulbs all in to the same sections. That left one section with a lot of the dim bulbs and about 10 original that were now super bright. Once I replaced the last original bulbs with the new ones the news bulbs performed the same as the originals. Odd problem to have but I guess a result of cheap manufacturing where there is no standard for 2.5V bulbs. I upped my rating to four stars as they now work but this should really be in some instructions or in the description of the listing. . Have an icicle string with 4 sections of 50 bulbs, so 2.4V each. I replaced about 10 bulbs in two sections, The replacement bulbs light up but really dim. I am going to try putting all new bulbs in one section and joining the old bulbs in the other section, will report back if better results. I also used these on a 24V adapter with 9 bulbs (2.6V each and they worked a charm. Technically they should work fine on 2.4V as well but not so much. So 3 stars.

I was happy to see that these incandescent 2.5v bulbs were a BRIGHT, 'COOL colored' clear light rather than warm (yellowish) bulbs. I have 2 100 bulb spheres purchased many years ago. I was hesitant to take a chance on ordering replacement bulbs online because mini bulbs come in many sizes, lengths, widths and color tone with different bases that work with different receptacles. This product description had clear measurements with clear pictures of the base so I knew these bulbs would be compatible with my spheres, I just was not sure if they were 'cool' or 'warm' light. My spheres would have looked awful had these bulbs been a 'warm' light. I will also mention that I could not beat the price for the quantity elsewhere online. I ended up replacing over 70 bulbs between the 2 spheres & have finally accepted that there is no easy way to replace mini lights that have florets on them.
