  • MSR compatible as advertised
I was a bit worried that these would t be the exact fit for my MSR snowshoes but they work like a charm. I didn’t need the quantity in this package but am happy with the purchase and to have a few backups for future repairs.

  • Very useful and OEM.
We added a keeper clip to each strap on our MSR Ascent snowshoes. They retain those long loose strap ends and prevent the straps from coming undone. We are glad we got these keeper clips!

  • Not heavy duty, but ok
Ok but not heavy duty like originals. Hopefully won’t break, but have extras

  • Keeps those straps on!
This is clearly the product I didn't know existed. I have older MSR snow shoes and just thought having straps that came undone were part of the fun. I was going to use zip ties, but alas, this is the ticket. Maybe they should just include these with the straps? Heading out this weekend in the Cascades to try em out. ... show more

  • Fit the Bill
- These clips were used on an early version of Lightening Ascent snowshoes - the straps on this model come undone easily, allowing the clips to escape and be lost, and the clips are essential to keeping the straps tight. Clips also can be lost when the snowshoes aren't being worn and straps are loose. It appears that ghe newest Lightening Ascent version uses a different binding system that doesn't have these clips. - Our original clips were a loose fit to the straps and very easily lost. Two replacement batches just purchased fit firmer, though still might slip off. - To prevent clips from escaping off the strap ends, we've fastened a small zip tie through one of the holes at or near the free ends of each strap, similarly one could lash cord through the holes, anything to build up sufficient thickness to retain the clips. - A single clip often isn't sufficient to prevent strap loosening, as the loose end of a fastened strap flop around and easily lift out of the clip allowing the flap to slip off the buckle. This can be prevented by mounting two or three clips on each strap - the first as close to the buckle as is practicable and the others spaced fairly close with open ends facing alternate directions, effectively preventing lifting of the loose end of the strap. - Other than this wrinkle, now solved, the snowshoes themselves offer fantastic traction, do well in steep icy terrain, and do a good job of resisting snow/ice build up. ... show more

  • Game changer for old msg lightning snowshoes
I have 12 year old MSR Lightning ascent snowshoes that have a small metal pin that you have to force the strap over jn order to secure them to your foot. These make the pin unnecessary and way easier to put on. Winderful

  • Stronger than the one that come with the MSR Denali Snowshoes.
After I broke about 3 of the stock clips on my Denali's during a hike in the snow, I replaced the broken keepers with these. The old ones would break when your binding straps got caught on terrain and branches. The new ones are a stronger design that has not failed on me yet. I replaced all of the stock ones on my showshoes with these. Worth the price so you don't have to worry about equipment failure out on the trail. Timely shipping, no issues. ... show more
