  • Well designed and put together, with a great bios
I quite literally replaced a brand new MSI board with this ROG one (my second ASUS board), due to bios bugs with MSI. I have to say that was a blessing in disguise. Install was simple and the instruction booklet may be the best guide I've seen for a MB yet. But where this MB shines is the ROG bios. It just works the first time, and setting up a custom overclock configuration was a breeze with the "auto" options. The large number of ports is great and eliminated the need for my usb hub. All of the connectors on the board were grade A and my entire build was plug and play. Finally, this board has some trick features I like such as the remote disconnect button for the graphics card, and the heat sink for the M.2 that I use as my C drive. Even came with a full sized PCI kit for adding even more M.2's! 5 stars and a golf clap for ASUS, who may have earned a customer for life. ... show more

  • The wifi on this thing is insane.
I got this because I bought a 3070 without realizing that I was being bottlenecked by LGA1150, so I made the swap to LGA1700. My old MOBO didn't have wifi connectivity, so I've always been a ethernet guy. Fast forward about a month, I start working from home. I got tired of swapping my one ethernet cable from my workstation to my gaming PC, so I decided to test out the wifi. It's quite literally the exact same speed as when I had the ethernet in. If you're a wifi kind of person, this mobo is exactly what you're looking for. Bios are extremely easy to use and understand, the bios flashing experience was pretty nice, and overall I've had 0 complaints over the last month. I kind of wish the SATA ports were more accessible, but that's a one-time complaint. If you have a tight computer case like I do, you might have to mess around with the SATA cables, but I can't fault MSI for that too much. The stickers are whatever. ... show more

  • Great value, easy install, and looks good!
For the money, I think this is a fantastic motherboard. As a first time PC builder, I really liked the simplicity of the board. Everything is clearly labeled and the provided manual makes installing easy. I like the covers/heatsinks above some areas (although it definitely caught me off guard that I couldn't find the M2 SSD slot for a second). Some of those screws are sneaky tight, so just be careful not to strip them. My one minor complaint is that the top left screw is incredibly difficult to get to if your CPU cooler is already installed and your case is on the smaller side. So I recommend installing that after you've screwed in your Motherboard to the case. As for the RGB discussion, I personally like that it doesn't have any loud colors or lights. Keep it simple. I'd highly recommend this for a new PC builder. ... show more

  • Great Motherboard 10 Stars
This is a we layer out board with all the options and easy to install and use. It takes anything I throw at it not one single issue fired up the first time. Running I9 with 64 megs ram 4 TB of SSD water cooler and it stay at a rock solid 30 c. Note the MSI case came with 3 fans and zi added 2 additional fan and the water cooler came with 2 so I am using 7 fans total. OK it might be overkill however I would replace fans and or power supply over the other components any day. So for me this works and runs cool. ... show more
