  • Great performance, atrocious battery life.
Purchased this laptop for my wife as a Christmas present. She does light gaming, Sims, Final Fantasy and Genshin Impact. Screen is beautiful, no blown pixels out of the box, resolution is wonderful. Super quick. For the price, I am very happy with it overall In terms of performance, runs all games installed so far on max performance settings without breaking a sweat. As with any gaming laptop, it gets pretty hot. Absolutely recommend a cooling pad. Only real disappointment is the absolutely awful battery life. I kinda expected this because of the power of the laptop, but running Genshin for an hour kills the battery, like less than 5% from a full charge in an hour, tops. FF14 it's even less. In the case of me and my wife, this is replacing her old decrepit desktop for home use, so it works great. Not sure I would buy this for my kid for a school/play laptop that will be on the go. Also a personal recommendation, invest in a USB hub. Only has 3 usb ports, mouse and headset(wireless) typically use 1 each and the cooling pad occupies the 3rd. Just a personal footnote in case this suits your needs and aren't terribly familiar with what the user may need. TL:DR - I am happy with my purchase. Great laptop for the price point, good graphics and terrific speed capabilities. Gets hot, needs more USB ports and has sucky battery life. Hope this helps somebody else. ... show more

  • Good power. Horrible battery
MSI did a good job of setting the computer up for ease of use upon opening. Battery power is extremely weak, but I am learning that's understandable due to high energy computer. Doesn't change the fact that I am disappointed with that part of the computer usage. Can't go anywhere without the charger, and it takes hours to charge if you're using it after booting up with a small % of battery left. ... show more

  • Love It
Meets my needs at a reasonable price. Awesome graphics. It's a bit of a pain to change the keyboard lighting and I had to watch a YouTube video to figure it out.

  • Total Disappointment
Hello, if you are thinking of buying an MSI product, know this first. I had my heart set on buying an MSI laptop. Now I rue the day. I really, really wish I would have bought ANYTHING else. The computer was glitchy out of the box, so I paid 54.00 dollars to send it back to MSI for warranty work. I got it back just a few days latter and still have MOST of the same problems. I am selling this laptop at a huge loss, but it is totally worth it, to avoid having to deal with their snide and rude customer service. I buy a lot of things ALL the time and unfortunately it is expected that every so often you get a defective product. I can live with that, I do not like it, but I can live with that. I am lucky 99% of the time. But what I cannot abide is the atrocious manner and the asinine, unprofessional and useless comments their customer service feels they must make. I honestly think the customer service team at MSI thinks they are paid to be extremely rude to people. I hope an MSI exec somehow reads this review and listens to my calls. I have to admit towards the end my attitude was not good with them either, but they set the tone. Do not make my mistake of thinking a higher price tag equals superior quality. With MSI it just means you pay more for less. This is my honest and humble opinion. Thanks for reading. ... show more

  • A Great AV Laptop
Well built and quite fast. I using this for recording with Ableton Live and it handles everything I can load into well. I rarely play games but the display on this laptop can handle it. Nice

  • Broken in less than a month
Just got this. I never give 1 star reviews, but I'm pretty heated. Worked great for 3 weeks, fastest laptop I've ever had (rightfully so at $1,500.00 for all the bells including 1TB SSD, 1GB HDD, 32GB RAM). Fast forward, right in the middle of doing basic Microsoft Office tasks (Word and literally just having opened Excel on a blank sheet) computer just forced itself into a boot loop. Attempted automatic recovery but then shut down and now the screen remains black. Called MSI for support, they had me put a paper clip in the reset hole and try again, surprise - no luck. Called Computer Upgrade Kings, as their label was on the laptop likely from having implemented the upgrades before Amazon sold it to me. Their customer service is Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm. Waiting on an email response now, and you can believe for a $1,500.00 investment I'll accept nothing less than what was paid for. Will update review once I have a working product for well beyond a month. For this price and with these features, this computer should last at least as long as my still fully-functional HP Omen from 2018 (4 years old) if not longer. ***Update*** Since Amazon sold and fulfilled the order, Computer Upgrade Kings also will not help me. My only choice is to return the unit entirely and go through the drawn out process of getting a refund purchasing another. My review remains 1 star. ... show more

  • horrid battery
this is only good for gaming while plugged in. and even then, the battery will drain while playing AAA games. only get about 40 minutes of gaming time while unplugged and the fans are very loud. what a disappointment.

  • Used, not new
When the box was opened, the bag containing the power-brick was torn open in the middle of the package, the cable for the power brick was carelessly stuffed into the bag and the power-brick itself appears to have greasy fingermarks on it. Something about this computer seems fraudulent.
