I have been on the vr trail of tears since the og vive. Got a vive pro and was just so tired of the games I was playing just eating my gpu's for lunch. Recently got interested in Sim Racing. Dusted off the vive pro. Again ran my 2080ti into the ground. So I sprung for this card. Now I can run Assetto Corsa with all the antialiasing in the game cranked right up there. 90fps 5-6ms. I think a high end vr headset would still eat this card alive on these sims, but it is driving the vive pro perfectly. With the SS cranked up to 200 the image quality is really good. (I have the gear vr mod which is also a game changer for me). Honestly this is the first time I have really enjoyed vr. The immersion is exquisite. Oh, I can also run latest ENB on Skyrim Vr with all the bells and whistles cranked right up at 90 fps 6-7 ms. Also running at 200 ss. It is smooth and has never looked this good. Card is not very noisy. Ran some 3d mark testing and it does throttle back on stress tests, but this is a small cooling system. I just did not want to deal with setting up the custom loop stuff on this card. I will double up the fans on the radiator soon. Good deal if you can get it at a reasonable price. I am satisfied with the purchase.

If you are curious about the performance of this card, u may want to read my lengthy review. Yes I paid more to get it now. I wanted one now, before they too become obsolete rt after we get one, as my 3090TI did. The supply Chain, Issues, hmmmm! Anyway, I swapped out a 360mm radiator AIO 3090Ti, for this MSI 4090 Hybrid version. If you set up the fans correctly, and incidentally, I set them up exactly the same as my 3090TI, u will find that this 4090 runs way cooler, and with a smaller radiator. At max I am getting like 15 degrees C cooler on the GPU, and upwards of 30degrees C cooler on the memory and hotspot, vs the 3090ti, and the 4090 runs at a higher wattage than the 3090TI. Max temps all around, about 50C, and usually in the 40's while playing, it's just going into pause mode that brings the temps up to about 50C. At Idle, its at 29C. Internet Videos and Tech review comparisons, don't do this card justice, as with the correct fan settings, this runs way cooler than I've seen on line. As far as performance, Graphics set to ultra with DLSS in performance, in the latest COD, on a 38inch Monitor, I am getting as high as 190FPS vs the 3090TI at medium settings DLSS Performance, getting about 86FPS. That is huge, and the latest COD doesnt have DLSS 3.0, which would improve it even more. I am getting 2850MHZ on the GPU Clock, thats 225 MHZ more than MSI advertises, and I did not Overclock the Overclock. Battlefield 2042, Strangely I get about the same framerate, but thats with Ultra settings, vs medium with the 3090TI, no DLSS. Doom Eternal with my 38inch monitor, Graphics maxed, I am getting around 300FPS. This 4090 by MSI, has been the best GPU swap, I have ever made, and I've made many, it's giving me Huge numbers, vs the 3090TI, and way cooler, and with more power, It's a win win for me. If u can afford it, do it, u will be glad u did. Got mine through Eluktronics, I know the company, they make awesome gaming laptops.

After EVGA left the video card market, I looked for another GPU supplier that honored a transferable warranty. Apparently MSI goes by the serials, not the buyer, so warranty will default to the original date of manufacture, or by the dated retail receipt from the original supplier when sold new, if one can be provided. Also, their RMA process couldn't be easier nor faster, you don't have to open a ticket and wait for a response, simply submit your RMA and then it's auto approved. I thought EVGA had the best RMA service, perhaps I was wrong. I like this Suprim Hybrid model in particular because it has subtle LEDs and a very professional appearance. The shroud is actual metal, not cheap plastic. The radiator fans are high-end and the cable management is as snug as possible yet still flexible. A big change coming from EVGA's 3080 Ti Hybrid fan cables, which were needlessly long and dangled absurdly loose, often striking the spinning radiator fans. Zero possibility of that with this Suprim design. Performance is quiet under load and the included GPU seems to be binned consistently high (dealing with 20+ of this exact model). Outstanding product, will continue to buy from MSI, especially for this model in particular.

Fits in mid-tower atx with ease. Stays pretty cool. My pc doesnโt have great airflow so it gets up to 70c when playing games. My room does heat up quite a bit when the AC isnโt going (about 70f outside). It does have a bit of โcoil whineโ at higher usage but itโs nothing to do with the fans, I checked. It seems to be something else. Canโt say if itโs the water pump for sure. I just know it is triggered by intense graphics rendering. I was able to trigger it on/off while playing diablo 4. When I pull up the map, no sound, hide the map (high detail 3d rendering) then you hear the noise. I donโt notice when I play with sound (even low volume) but with no sound, itโs noticeable. Not sure if other 4090s have this issue but not a big deal to me. The insane graphics performance is 100% worth it. Got lucky and picked it up at msrp. Totally worth it. Highly recommend!

This is a great product, it was pretty easy to install and in terms of temps and performance as of late 2023 this is as good as it gets. Although the card comes with an adaptor for 4x8-pin PCI-E connectors, it's probably safer to just get a power supply that natively supports 12VHPWR as they have come down in price and the cost pales in comparison to the GPU itself. Unlike some other customer's experiences, mine was clearly brand new (sealed box, plastic film on all the components, no screw marks on the radiator, etc). The reason why I'm giving this 4 stars is that it seems like MSI and Amazon will both give you the roundabout when it comes to warranty service. Although everything registered correctly with my serial # on the MSI webpage, instead of giving you a 'months of warranty left' page like every other manufacturer, MSI just tells you to contact the retailer (Amazon). Although Amazon does not directly dispute this, if you click on the link on Amazon it tells you to first go through the manufacturer website, and only contact them as a third option. Both Amazon and MSI seem like they are trying to pass the buck here - I'm not sure why it's so hard to just give a date: warranty expires on - xyz. Instead it seems like both companies are leaving themselves wiggle room to deny warranty coverage if the times comes.

Great for inference. Fan runs nice and quiet, the radiator of course gets a little warm when under heavy use, but no problems. I can run Qwen2.5-32b-Coder at Q4 on this and itโs anecdotally equivalent to GitHub Copilot using 4o when assisting with writing common functions and chunks of Python code. No driver problems encountered with this on RHEL9 or Windows 10. Oh yeah, and it can run Crysis. Blazing fast minesweeper graphics too.

Had issues from the beginning with the card. Initially wasnโt working and then only worked when I toggled pcie gen 3 in the bios. Since there was minimal loss in performance I kept that setting and played with it on and off for a month. Everything seemed to be working fine until I was playing Street Fighter 6 and the card started artifacting like crazy before it shut down. I assumed something the went bad and restarted. After which the computer booted into the desktop before hard crashing again. After that no signal from either the HDMI or Display Port. I will say the card is exceptionally good but I have also never had a brand new card artifact on me like this. When youโre paying as much as you are for the card itโs kind of unacceptable for it to die within a month. I guess I can count my lucky stars because it is still within the return window for Amazon but Iโm very disappointed and discouraged to buy another 40 series card. I still have my old 3080 and I think I will rock with that for the rest of the generation. Unfortunate experience since my card had no coil whine and no intrusive pump noise. Heat was completely normal, so I donโt think that was the failure point.
