  • It's a life saver
Color: Red Pattern Name: Wheelchair
I had bought one of these chairs at a rummage sale a few years ago. My 96- and 94-year-old parents were living with me and I could see the writing on the wall concerning their mobility though neither of them wanted the chair for their self. For $25. I had nothing to lose if neither never used it. That chair was the best investment that I have ever made and it added quality to their lives. Fortunately, they didn't need it at the same time. We found ourselves saying it was the best $25. that we ever spent. Because of that chair when my uncle woke up one day not being able to walk and could only crawl we bought the Medline Lightweight Foldable Transport Wheelchair and had it sent to him. His wife had borrowed a heavy loaner wheelchair so she could take my uncle to his many doctor appointments. Loading that heavy wheelchair in and out of her car was killing her back. She cried of joy when she received the transport chair. It made their life so much better. My sister, severely hurt her knee. She and her family had plans and reservations to visit Washington D.C. with her on crutches. I had this transport chair sent to her house in S.C. in time for their trip. She wouldn't have made it 1/2 day on her crutches. The transport chair saved their vacation. It was easy to put in their trunk, then to take it on the train and then touring D.C. My brother-in-law said one day he pushed her around for 11 miles in the chair. I can't say enough about that transport chair. It's comfort, stability, its light weight, its just a life saver for the one who is pushing it and adds quality to the users life. ... show more

  • Most Reliable Lightweight Chair I Ever Bought!!!! Still Funtions As New Since 2018!!!
Color: Red Pattern Name: Wheelchair
When it comes to being a Care Giver, anything that will make my life easier in regards to providing the proper care for my mom is certainly welcomed! With that said, this is my unpaid experience with this awesome little chair! I purchased it in 2018 and after 7 years of continual use... it is still fabulous! This chair has had its fair share of trips to and from various Doctor's offices, Stores, Shopping Outings, Restaurants, etc. From day one I have been very pleased with this chair's build quality, functionality and its light weight. My mom is 88 years old and she weighs about 169 pounds. I have had no problems getting her in and out of this chair, even with her Dementia. I can't say enough about how convenient it is for me in regards to this chair being able to fold up in seconds and easily be put in the back of my SUV. This chair still functions as new and I have never had any issues whatsoever with it! I highly recommend this chair to anyone who is looking for an affordable chair that has stood the test of time and to me worth every penny that I paid for it! Some I see have said it feels cheap... I have never thought that about this chair in any way... it just feels light and to me that is great!!!!!. I hope this true testimony and truthful review will help someone in their purchasing decision.. Have A Blessed Day! ... show more

  • Very nice for the price
Color: Red Pattern Name: Wheelchair
Very easy to use. My 70 year old mother takes care of another lady who is in her 80’s. My mother is able to get this wheeler chair in and out of her SUV and get the older lady in it and push her. Very lightweight. The only strange thing is the way the back of the chair is made, it folds down for storage but that causes it to not stay up sturdily. The screws they have in there are really short. If they were longer it would be more sturdy. Also you have to push the handle breaks down pretty hard to lock the brakes. That is NOT clear in the booklet. It was hard to find. I would still recommend this for the price, weight and ease of use. There is no assembly, so that is nice. ... show more

  • Need bigger hands to use the brakes
Color: Blue Pattern Name: Wheelchair
Nice transport chair with a sturdy frame and bigger wheels for a smooth ride. Folding is quick and it is not that heavy to toss into the back of the SUV. Our last chair, all the wheels were the same size and felt flimsy compared to this new chair. When you measure for the chair, realize that the handles are the widest point. This adds to the comfort of the chair not digging into the rider's back but also means your knuckles might feel the wall/door frame 1st. The adjustable foot rests are awesome and easy to pick the size. Could be better comments: The brake handles are a bit over sized though. If you buy medium gloves, you might find your hands strain to be on the handles and your fingers be in the brake levers. Compare to the brake handles in the pictures for Medline's wheel chair or walking assist strollers, those handles look more like brakes you find on a bike that will fit more sizes of hands. There is also a "drag" feel in the wheels when pushing it. When we turn it over and spin the wheels, 2 spin freely and 2 only make a few rotations before stopping on their own. The wheels also aren't true and when you spin them you can see a slight wobble as they move around. We do feel a slight pull to the left which is easy to compensate for. Also finding that the wheels don't always stay on the ground when going over uneven surfaces. Few times one of the front wheels looses contact with the ground and spins bumping into the person's foot. (like a shopping cart wheel might spin) Might try adjusting the middle pivot bars. Other transport chairs we have don't have this problem over the same surfaces. Around the house we keep the foot rests off but use them when going out. The rest is just a flat surface so it depends on your shoe grip to keep your feet in place. Other chairs have a strap or notch for your heel to rest on so you can relax and not have to keep your feet there. Not a deal breaker for the chair!! Over all happy with the chair, glad we got it. ... show more

  • Light, strong and well constructed!!!
Color: Blue Pattern Name: Wheelchair
Our family has owned, rented or borrowed dozens of different wheel chairs over the past 50 years. This chair is the single best we've ever used! It is very light weight compared to a full wheel chair, folds for storage very easily, is very strong and the wheels have no drag to them. The feet extensions are easy to quickly remove, and getting my Mom to medical appointments is much more convenient using this chair! ... show more
