  • **A Wonderful Purchase for My 85-Year-Old Mom**
Color: Red Pattern Name: Wheelchair
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I purchased this **Medline Lightweight Foldable Transport Wheelchair** for my 85-year-old mother, and it has been one of the best investments we've made for her comfort and mobility. The first thing I noticed was how lightweight it is. I can easily fold it up, lift it into the trunk of the car, and take it with us to doctor's appointments, family gatherings, shopping trips, or simply getting out of the house. The folding mechanism is quick and simple, which makes traveling so much easier. The 12-inch rear wheels roll smoothly over sidewalks, parking lots, and indoor floors, and the handbrakes give me added confidence when we're on ramps or uneven surfaces. I never feel like I'm struggling to keep the chair under control. Most importantly, my mom says it's comfortable. The seat provides good support, and she feels secure while riding in it. Being able to get her out more often has truly improved her quality of life and given her a greater sense of independence. The wheelchair feels sturdy, well-built, and dependable without being bulky or difficult to handle. It's exactly what we needed for someone who doesn't need a full-time wheelchair but does need safe, comfortable transportation for longer outings. If you're caring for an aging parent or loved one, I highly recommend this wheelchair. It has made life easier for both my mom and me, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again. ... show more

  • Strong and Lightweight
Color: Red Pattern Name: Wheelchair
I've been using this chair for about a month and am so grateful for it. My mom needs something to help her get around when she needs to leave the house and travel for longer distances than she can comfortably walk. I was initially worried that the seat area might be too small or feel too tight for my mom, who was about 200 lbs, but there are no problems with that at all. Someone in another review suggested getting a seat pad to make the seat more comfortable, and I 100% agree. It greatly adds to the comfort of the chair because I didn't find it too comfortable without the pad. What I love about the chair is how lightweight and compact it is. When my mom needs to take a cab or get a ride in a car, the leg attachments come on and off very easily, the chair folds easily, the push handles also fold down to give it a smaller profile for stowing, and the chair is so lightweight that it's easy to put in and out of a trunk or to carry up and down stairs. The locking mechanism is easy to access and is secure. Unlike a regular wheelchair, this transport chair is intended to be pushed by someone, not for the person seated to be able to push themselves, but I do wish there was a way that the seated person could have access to a/the locking mechanism so they could lock or unlock the chair themselves if necessary. My mom once used to the chair to scoot herself around the kitchen in order to cook and it was tricky for her to stand up and sit down with ease because she couldn't access the brakes herself from a seated position and the brakes should be on as a person sits and gets up. Overall, I am thrilled with this chair and highly recommend it. The big wheels create a smooth ride and the material of the wheels allow me to kinda easily slide my mom over in the chair when on a smooth surface and I need more room to navigate in a small space. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • buy this wheel chair.
Color: Red Pattern Name: Wheelchair
This chair is light weight and easy to move. Also, you can fold it and place it in rear hatchback of car for storage. The price was reasonable and the chair is durable. Easy to fold and assemble the foot rests. This chair is a recommended buy.

  • Convenient
Color: Blue Pattern Name: Wheelchair
I purchased this transport chair for my dad, who has Parkinson’s disease, and overall it has been a great help. It’s lightweight, compact enough to fit easily in the trunk of my car, and very easy to assemble and fold when not in use. When we first put it together and started rolling it, we noticed a strange noise and the chair wasn’t moving as smoothly as expected. Fortunately, we quickly discovered that the brake cable was adjusted too tightly. Once we loosened it, the chair rolled perfectly. My only real complaint is that the leg supports tend to come off when taking the chair in and out of the trunk. It’s not a major issue, but it can be a little frustrating to have to reattach them almost every time. Overall, despite that minor inconvenience, this transport chair has been sturdy, practical, and easy to transport. It has made outings with my dad much easier, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a compact and travel-friendly transport chair. ... show more

  • I like Nova transports. For now, though, I wanted a simple less intrusive unit.
Color: Red Pattern Name: Wheelchair
I wanted to eventually buy one of the Nova Transport Wheelchairs after resesrching all day for almost a week, but for now i wanted a more basic, simple unit that would fit a tall, plus sized person but not be very wide and complicated but have fairly large, like 12” non flattening back wheels so it will not get stuck in every little crevice and throw me out onto the pavement. Countless reviews in all brands and models universally extolled the importance of large back tires. I believe polyethylene wheels would be insufficient and ruled them out also. The Medline unit I’m describing here has comforttable, forgiving uneven surfaces, 12” solid hard foam-like tires. It had thousands of positive reviews, I believe more than any other model or brand. My son came over and snapped this thing together in a couple of minutes, before I even came into the room. Granted, he’s a mechanical wizard, but when I pointed this out as a possible reason for his quick assembly of this unit, he assured me that he did not have time to employ his wizardry because the unit is a no wizardry necessary piece of equipment. He was prepared to do his voodoo, black magic, but it would’ve been wasting his black magic skill set assembly for this thing was child’s play. The very heavy duty seat snd back have some built in “puckerage” to allow for the user to sit with a little extra embrace rather than a taught hsrd drawn tight seat and back. Brakes are easy, quick and responsive. Google, Amazon, whatever shopping service and put in “Medline Lightweight Yransport wheelchair cup holder and order one for youreelf for $15 or so. I did. I also ordered a slim hanging bag for hanging from the armrest and a really great, affordable cushion, i.e. “Essential Medical Supply N1103 18” X 16” X 3” Rehab 1 Cushion” made of extra firm high density foam. There is another brand of cushion which is around $16 but the reviews universally said it pancaked and was not resilient to resume it’s normal, factory shape. I spent $5 more and got this super duper comfy cushion. All this minutia I am passing along to you as the results of hours upon hours of research for a whole week of my life, to enable you to read this, go directly to these items and evaluate them as I did without wasting the valuable hours of your life rediscovering gobs upon gobs of unworthy shabby offerings, re-plowing all the same areas I have. This Medline Lightweight Transport Wheelchair is simple, strong, high quality, minimally intrusive and the only model that I found that fit all the requirements that I learned were vital or desirable. Soooo worth the price. ... show more

  • Very good chair for anyone with young-onset Parkinson’s
Color: Blue Pattern Name: Wheelchair
Excellent for my use. I have Parkinson’s, and I was diagnosed right after my 34th birthday in 2009. Occasionally I need to use a chair because my legs just don’t cooperate and I need help walking. My niece, who is aged 16, pushes me and the chair with ease. The chair is extremely light weight and is very easy to steer and change direction. ... show more

  • Great product !
Color: Red Pattern Name: Wheelchair
This wheel chair was perfect for getting my husband to doctors appointments. It is lightweight, easily folds to fit in the trunk of the car, and narrow enough to get through smaller doorways. It was very easy to put together, which surprised me as I am not mechanically inclined. I would recommend this product. ... show more

  • Light Weight and Compact
Color: Red Pattern Name: Wheelchair
I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and will be starting my chemotherapy soon. I started thinking about the fatigue and weakness I'm likely to experience as I go through this process. I know I'm going to be spending a lot more time at home, but I'm not willing to stop living my life either. So we thought maybe a wheelchair will help. So I got on Amazon and started looking. I noticed most wheelchairs are rather large even when collapsed. That wouldn't be an issue if our vehicle was big, but we drive a Kia Sportage. So I started looking for a compact wheelchair and found these transport chairs, game changer. We decided on this one. The reviews were decent, and because of the features. It's light weight, it has the large rear wheels, which are super important, and the hand breaks, if your transporting someone down a ramp your going to want them. Our order arrived the next day and was well packaged. It was super easy assemble. It only takes one person. I'm 5'6" and weigh 198. A lot of the chairs I looked at have a weight limit of 220. While I hope I don't gain weight, I know sometimes steroids are used and they can cause weight gain, so the fact that this one has a max weight limit of 300 made me feel better. I could see that if a person was must larger than myself they might want one designed for larger sizes. I fit well in this one with enough room let over that I'm comfortable with it. For our purposes of taking me to appointments and shopping when I need it, it will work perfectly. It feels plenty sturdy and our test drives have gone very well. The only thing we are going to add is the storage bag that hangs in the back, also for sale on Amazon for $20. If you are looking for a transport chair instead of a larger wheelchair and the person will be sitting in it for hours on end you might want to add a seat cushion. For our purposes it is more than comfortable. ... show more
