The 3060ti is still a good card in 2023. I have an older gaming computer with an Intel i7-4790K processor. I got an underpowered GPU at the time due to Bitcoin mining ruining the market. Today as prices come down, the 3060ti is a better match for my processor and my needs. Running some older games at 1080p such as Yakuza 0, the fans don't even spin up for either this or my processor. The noise reduction and overhead is exactly what I needed this for. I can easily stream for family when we have game nights while running a variety of games, without even stressing the fans. That's perfect. The 3060ti is great for midrange gaming computers. This Ventus 3 model, if you can fit a bulky card, keeps the graphics card cool. If you have good flow in your case, it's quite good at running passively (aka silent) during 1080p gaming. Yes the backplate is plastic. You definitely need a support for this card. I got a little "pogo stick" twist and lock suppport. You should get something like this too, or at least get a vertical riser kit so this gigantic GPU isn't trying to tear your poor motherboard in half. Otherwise this Ventus 3 was shipping at a great price when I bought it, and it's working perfectly as expected. ... show more

The perfect graphics card at a great price! I needed to replace my considerably older card for flight sims and FPS games. This was perfect, upped my frame rates as desired, runs cool and quiet, and the install was fine. Note: do check your case clearances in advance - this was a VERY tight fit...

After rave reviews from YouTube, which recommended it on several websites, I bought this graphics card. I ordered enough components to build a PC from one click Amazon purchases. I had trouble with a motherboard, and sent it back. The remaining components such as Gungnir IIIR chassis. MSI Power supply, and the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti all had to wait for a tryout. Since the 30 days for product returns was running out, I tried this graphics card in an older MSI AEGIS PC. It runs and streams beautifully. I may leave it in here and buy another one for the other PC. This was a product runout and was the last one Amazon had in this older version. Sometimes you get lucky. I did. ... show more

Recently installed this into my build and its doing a fine job. I'm not pushing its limits by any means yet, nor do I really expect to go crazy and overclock it. All in all, it was an easy installation as well.

Really good for gaming at higher settings and getting into VR. My main want for a new graphics card was to be able to run Cyberpunk 2077 with ray-tracing and this does just that! It is very capable of VR gaming too, with my old 1060 I was barely running any VR app but now it's all smooth and very enjoyable. I've been able to overclock it some too, which was made easier by it's 3 fans helping it cool very efficiently. I am very have with the thin nature of it too, only taking 2 slot heights in my pc and leaving clearence for my WiFi card under it. I have yet to run into a game it can't run perfectly, at least at 1080p 60hz, the only exception being Cyberpunk which must be turned down some to accommodate how much power ray-tracing takes. ... show more

Used it for 3 and a half years for my first PC build. Worked amazing. Would highly recommend not using a 1050 max-q... or hp. Yeah just buy this, a 5060 ti, 2080, or even a 1080 ti. A 9070XT or 5070 ti if u can. They're about 65% faster roughly but you'd need a better cpu. I had a 5500x AMD CPU and later went to a 5800X with no bottlenecks ... show more

The coil whine is very minor, and just tapping my case will get it to shut up. But a good 3060 Ti will keep you running pretty much any game 1080p at max settings.
