🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The 3060 OC Graphics Card comes with 12GB which is double that of its predecessor and this upgrade has generally been met with positive reviews, with users noticing faster performance when gaming. However, there have been some minor complaints regarding the quality of the colors, with some users finding them a little washed out. The card performs exceptionally well for emulation and indie games. A few review highlights note impressive frames per second (FPS) on games like WoW, Cyberpunk, Fortnite, and Valorant. For full potential, upgrading CPU and motherboard cable might be necessary. Hardware fit can be a bit tight in server/rack case.

Pros

  • 🚀 Faster performance compared to previous versions.
  • 👍 Great FPS in gaming, especially in performance mode
  • 🔧 Handles CPU and motherboard upgrades well
  • 🕹 Excels with emulation and indie games
  • 🔥 Perform without overheating

Cons

  • 🖌 Some users found the colors a tad washed out
  • ⚖ May not be suitable for larger games on high settings
  • 🔌 Power connector location can be problematic for server/rack case

Should I Buy It?

Yes. Despite minor issues such as the quality of colors and somewhat compromised performance in larger games on high settings, the 3060 OC Graphics Card represents a significant leap in performance from its predecessors. It's particularly effective with indie games and emulations, and provides a stable upgrade path for CPUs and motherboards. It is worth its cost and will likely last for many years, provided your setup can accommodate its size and power connector location.

  • WOW
This card performs so well. I played Halo Infinite on it with all settings turned up to ULTRA and it runs butter smooth. This is not supposed to be possible for this card according to IGN, a famous computer games web site. They say you need a 3080 Ti to do that, but I did it with this 3060 OC and got butter-smooth graphics. However, I do have an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU, which they say is also required to play Halo Infinite with all settings to ultra. Nonetheless, I did it with this card and it was perfect. I can't tell you what performance you will get with it, since that partly depends on the performance of your CPU, memory, and motherboard. I am highly impressed with what I have. This card is wonderful for the price. Cards with significantly higher performance are twice to three times the price of this one. For me, it's a no-brainer to not throw out tons of money when I can have this one and get great performance in the same game. The enormous cooler keeps the card running comfy cool too. ... show more

  • Nice mid-grade GPU-Its quiet and reasonably priced too
I bought the longer GPU with 3 fans for better cooling as I have a midtower case so I had the room. Fans aren't even coming on in game yet. I don't have any AAA titles downloaded but I don't see any games being a challenge with this card. Currently am using a Corsair RMx Gold 850 PSU. Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, Corsair 32 GB DDR4 RAM I have a MSI 27" gaming monitor and have no issues with playtesting Unreal Engine 5's test game Lyra with all max settings enabled. (am Unreal Dev) Definetly recommend this card if you need a GPU with RTX features like Raytracing. ... show more

  • Note for Server/Rack Case Users
The card itself is excellent. No complaints thus far. HOWEVER... the location of the card's power connector might be problematic for anyone installing this into a server/rack case. This is because of the card's power connector being at the top of the card. Thus, in a 4U rack case, the clearance is tight (see pic). Just a heads up for those of us who aren't gamers. If not for this, I would have given the card 5 stars. ... show more
