🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The 3060 OC Graphics Card comes with 12GB which is double that of its predecessor and this upgrade has generally been met with positive reviews, with users noticing faster performance when gaming. However, there have been some minor complaints regarding the quality of the colors, with some users finding them a little washed out. The card performs exceptionally well for emulation and indie games. A few review highlights note impressive frames per second (FPS) on games like WoW, Cyberpunk, Fortnite, and Valorant. For full potential, upgrading CPU and motherboard cable might be necessary. Hardware fit can be a bit tight in server/rack case.

Pros

  • 🚀 Faster performance compared to previous versions.
  • 👍 Great FPS in gaming, especially in performance mode
  • 🔧 Handles CPU and motherboard upgrades well
  • 🕹 Excels with emulation and indie games
  • 🔥 Perform without overheating

Cons

  • 🖌 Some users found the colors a tad washed out
  • ⚖ May not be suitable for larger games on high settings
  • 🔌 Power connector location can be problematic for server/rack case

Should I Buy It?

Yes. Despite minor issues such as the quality of colors and somewhat compromised performance in larger games on high settings, the 3060 OC Graphics Card represents a significant leap in performance from its predecessors. It's particularly effective with indie games and emulations, and provides a stable upgrade path for CPUs and motherboards. It is worth its cost and will likely last for many years, provided your setup can accommodate its size and power connector location.

  • Great 1080P card! Mediocre 1440P card.
I'm using this card at 1440P medium settings typically I've had it for 3 years. Running Intel 12700KF on gigabyte z790 elite AX. Games I play include Star Citizen - 40FPS at stations 60FPS in space. Starfield - 40 FPs at settlements 60 fps in space, Diablo 4 - I have it capped at 80FPS but it can handle way more. God of war on Ultra 80FPS because i capped it. Warning for anyone trying to run Nvidia Broadcast while maxing out the card at 1440P. It doesn't like it lol - Got a warning when I tried running star cit on ultra with Broadcast on. looking to upgrade to a 5070ti if the prices ever settle. By then i'll probably go for a 5070ti Super. This is a great 1080P card! Crushes everything. It's a mediocre 1440p card. I recommend this card to anyone gaming at 1080P. ... show more

  • Made Me A Big Boi Gamer
I built my PC in the GPU-pocalypse of 2022 and did the research-and-wait dance for months before finally pulling the trigger. Has worked great for my needs as a PC gamer, feel like I'm finally getting the full experience that games and graphics can offer (at least compared to my old potato PC days). Been running this card for 2 years now and it's held up without issue, although I did have to make an emergency pull of a GPU stand, since the darn thing is heavy enough to collapse under it's own weight if you don't add a stand. Performed great with: Witcher 3, God of War 2018, Horizon Zero Dawn, Monster Hunter Rise, Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption, Shadow of War, AC, which is a decent cross section of modern-ish games. Basically I haven't needed to think about specs for 2 years, which suits me perfectly. ... show more

  • Good bang for the buck
When the product was delivered to my house, the box was damaged. However, that is not the fault of the manufacturer. The graphics card performs well above my expectations. It has definitely been in greater numbers when it comes to temperature and frames per second. I upgraded from a 1080 TI and this graphics card performs as if there were three 1080 TI's in my computer. I am absolutely blown away with the presentation. I am also absolutely blown away by MSI's performance and their eligibility to create such a wonderful, quiet, and discreet gaming card. ... show more

  • I'm writing from the computer it's in
I have had some odd things going on with sizing and such but I think it's something in settings not a hardware issue, I have an extra wide screen. Adjusting the refresh rate helped but there is still some tinkering to do. Balder's gate looks fabulous, and YouTube videos look clearer on my new wide monitor now than before I upgraded the GPU (from a 2070). I wanted white but with the deal going on I couldn't justify shelling out an extra 200ish just for aesthetics. The factory seal was still intact and the packaging looked completely undisturbed so I think it was brand new as advertised. Don't be like me and 'cable manage later' it was a nightmare trying to untangle the old GPU wires and I spent like 3 hours fixing everything. Would have been easier and less stressful if it was done right the first time! ... show more

  • Great GPU for Budget Gaming
Being the 2nd Generation RTX and also (at the time) 2nd newest generation. it still worth a look. Great for first build PCs. With the cost at half the price current generation of GPUs (at time of writing) it can still do the job and not have any issues. 3 Fan setup helps keep not only the GPU cool but also help move the air throughout you PC and keeping the overall PC coller. ... show more
