  • Good product for the price
I purchased this video card to bring an older, custom-built system up to date and replace the older, no-longer-supported video card. I didn't want to spend $800 on the latest-greatest card since I'm not made out of money. After careful review, this card seemed to be the best match between performance and price. I was somewhat concerned regarding bus speed: my PC only has PCI-express version 2 - versus the newer, faster version 3 - but the card works well. I use it for gaming and light video go-pro editing and have seen a significant improvement over the ATI radeon 4800 series card it replaced. So far, there have been no slow frame rates or hiccoughs in games. I would recommend this card to friends and family members looking for a cost-effective high (but not highest) performance video card. ... show more

  • Impressive video card!
Wow. Did I get lucky! Purchased this for $249.99 and two days later it's $100 more! I tested this card on a whole bunch of games today and I am super happy at the results. Many of them could run at max settings with >50 FPS. The fans were so quiet I had to manually check they were working! I did not have to do anything after sliding the card in and booting windows 11. Drivers updated automaticly. I ran a GPU sensor prg and the most watts it drew was around 100 during the most demanding games. It is required to have at least a 450 watt PSU - I have a 750 watt PSU. Get it when the price drops again... ... show more

  • Great for the Money and PSU Req.
it does state 128 bit however I also got a 192-bit card. didn't think it would work, Wrong! Works Great and put some Kick A$$ into my XPS 8700 now sporting 6GB DDR5. The PSU only need be 450W providing you don't a load on other devices. I added this to better view my computer on new Vizio 70" Ultra 4k w HDR, Dolby vision and makes it look great. Adding an AudioQuest Chocolate Braided 1m (3.28 ft.) HDMI Cable next to sharpen the works!! ... show more

  • Very good choice
Played Destiny 2 with it... in Open World Destinations i sat around 80-100+ frames average on high settings. I’ll continue to use it for long durations and update this review (if possible). But as of now, few hours in: its very good! Edit: couple weeks in, still running smoothly in long sessions. Locked my frames at 75 since thats all my monitor supports, stays consistent at 75(with the exception of frame drops slightly during high end activities). So final say: its worth it if you’re not trying to be TOO pricey but want good graphics ... show more

  • Great GPU but not worth the price especially $750 thanks to scalpers, but atleast not defective.
This is my first gpu I bought as my Bday gift to build my first gaming pc, I got it for exactly $600 and I was a little pissed off cause I'm thinking to myself, yo the price for this should of been how much it was before like $300-400 maybe less idk, now I'm looking back and the price went up a little more than what I paid for, anyway it came new, no scratches, no holes, none, it runs pretty smooth had problems with it a few times on crashes but adjust the settings to fix it and no problems at all with it, I just wish that it wasn't worth the extra price, but atleast it didn't come broken or defective. ... show more

  • Amazing upgrade for 1080p gaming
I recently built a new gaming computer after using the same one from 7 years ago that had amd fx processer and a sapphire hd 7850. New build has ryzen 5 2600 and this card. Before installing this card I was getting 30 fps on low settings for the new modern warfare, and when I installed this last night and played I set everything to highest settings and got minimum 95 while playing online while averaging 120 with temps not going over 65 degrees. 5/5 for me. Drivers were easy to install, fans are quiet and I am more than happy with performance. Was going back and forth between wanting the 1660 and rx 580 but I'm glad I spent the extra money. I would say spend a little more for the Super or Ti if you are playing at higher resolutions but for 1080p this will max out anything with no issues. ... show more

  • Almost as good performance as a Ti for less
I read a few reviews from users that said they had failures with these cards after a month or two of gaming. So far I've logged many hours on this card without any issues or hiccups. Frame rates for major games are beyond excellent. Please keep in mind your performance may vary if your setup suffers from CPU bottleneck (where the CPU/MB/RAM can't keep up with the GPU. If you are considering only upgrading your GPU and your other components are a bit older, I suggest using a bottleneck calculator first. This bottleneck may be a reason for some of the not so great performance in other reviews. One concern people have is the fan noise. I've manually controlled the cards fans, and even on high they don't bother me in my Antec case. It's a fairly quiet case, and I don't keep my PC on my desk so this may be part of it. Any other similar cards will also have similar dual fans, so fan noise can't be escaped. I wouldn't let this deter you. So far so good with this card in my rig. ... show more

  • The 1660 is still relevant but for how long
I bought this card in January of 2020 for $209.99! I paired this GTX 1660 with an i7-7700 cpu. The 1660 replaced a lackluster GTX 1050. At that time the 1660 was a great upgrade, I was able to run most games on Ultra (1080p/144hz), games such as "Battlefield 4", "Total War: Warhammer", "Titanfall 2". But this gpu will not be running "Cyberpunk" on Ultra. I assume that the 1660 will run any Esports game (DOTA, Street Fighter, F1 21 etc) on Ultra for several years to come. If you're looking for Ray Tracing, get a RTX 3050 instead. But for an older PC, this will work great, depending on the game genre. ... show more
