  • Fantastic high preformance board for a budget build
Style: MSI B550-A PRO ProSeries Motherboard
Absolutely impressive build quality and preformance for the money... 500 dollar AMD R5 build on a 8gb 5500xt, 32gb ddr4 with this board was a easy build and works great. Running fortnite at 240fps perfectly without over clocking. Runs nice and cool. We built this for a backup/spare room gaming pc and it was a 4 hour build taking our time and doing nice wiring management (that also includes the windows download time and install time) so a fairly seamless build. We could have built it in prolly 45-60 mins if we wanted to and didn't worry so much about doing super clean wiring. Overall this is imo the best budget pc ddr4 board on the market. ... show more

  • Great ATX Motherboard for Performance System
Style: MSI B550-A PRO ProSeries Motherboard
The motherboard was easy to install in my existing system case upgrading the processor, memory, and dGPU. Installed a Ryzen 9 5900, 64GB DDR4-3200, 1TB M.2 2080 PCIe 4x4 SSD, and an RTX 4070 in one system. The other system was a Ryzen 9 3900, 32GB DDR4-3200, 512GB M.2 2080 PCIe3x4 SSD, and an RTX 4070. There's a heat-spreader for the M.2! It requires some patience on first boot since the FW seems to "think" a long time without writing to the screen, but it eventually came to the BIOS splash screen. I did update the BIOS to the latest version right away since the shipping version was outdated (may have been fine but why take chances). The BIOS update procedure is simple--just download, unzip to a connected drive, boot to the UEFI BIOS, go to update BIOS mode, reboot, and point to the BIOS file on the connected drive. The update process will finish up and the system will reboot. I did have to set the memory speed to the profile to support its speed--it did not automatically choose the correct JDEC/XMP profile for 1600MHz/3200MT/s. After installing Windows 11 Pro and my application/utility suites, the system has been stable through some very heavy use: transcoding videos with CPU and GPU using Handbrake, creating/editing videos using DaVinci Resolve, editing photos with Lightroom/ACR/Photoshop, and running a range of development and productivity applications. CPU-z confirms that PCIe is running at Gen4 speeds, and the memory is running at the correct profile/speed. In all, the motherboard is a good value for the performance and stability that it delivers. ... show more

  • Works perfectly if you buy new.
Style: MSI B550-A PRO ProSeries Motherboard
I first purchased through InfinityProducts and had to return it. It showed as tested, but it clearly wasn't. A couple inputs didn't work. I then just bought it new and it's been great.

  • Great motherboard that's fast
Style: MSI B550-A PRO ProSeries Motherboard
This MSI motherboard has all the important features, and is fast. Put my PC together when I got all my parts and haven't had a problem since. MSI is a good brand and also a good bargain compared to some of the others offering much less in features. Also I have been using MSI for years and very rarely ever have any problems. ... show more

  • Difficult RAM installation
Style: MSI B550-A PRO ProSeries Motherboard
Before going into the problem I have, this is a great motherboard for the price. It works flawlessly with my R7 5800x and 3060. It looks great as well, I really dig its aesthetic. Weird RAM installation. This mobo is a little different from my previous one in the ram slots. Instead of two latches, it only has one latch. The one latch made it really difficult to install my ram and get it out. Once I was installing my AIO and it kinda get in the way of the RAM, I found out I put my ram in incompatible slots so I need to switch em out; getting one ram stick out was just hell, and the other just refuse to go out despite the latch is unlocked. Overall it’s a great mobo but damn, installing ram is just unnecessarily difficult. ... show more

  • Great motherboard with features beyond its price
Style: MSI B550-A PRO ProSeries Motherboard
I got this motherboard because I needed one with front panel USB-C support, which is kind of rare around this price range. Very easy to install, though I wish the I/O shield was integrated because the one included is flimsy and rather difficult to put in (I had to take the back panel of my case off to push it in completely). Plenty of fan headers placed around the board, and two 5V aRGB headers. The build quality is good, the PCB didn't flex at all while installing. The board also has a sleek black look that looks very nice even with my white build. This motherboard comes with a BIOS flashback feature, but mine came with a Ryzen 5000 ready sticker on the box and sure enough, I didn't need to flash the bios to get it to work with my 5600. Something to note is that the DIMM slots only have the locking tab on one side and are rather hard to get your memory sticks seated properly. ... show more

  • Works well decent features
Style: MSI B550-A PRO ProSeries Motherboard
I'm coming in for a b450 board and this one allows me to clock higher same CPU same ram without a fuss. And it does have on board lights to tell you if you're having issues where they may be the CPU the ram that sort of thing. Easy to flash even without a CPU. My machine's been very stable.
